Best current acct??

Hi
I've got a fairly basic question but can't find the answer on the forum. I currently bank with RBS in England and do NOT want to be with Santander (like most people it seems:)). I have 3 acct's with them - 2 current - one for daily use & one for DD's. I also have a very low interest paying easy saver.
My question is which bank is the best to bank with?? I only work part time & my income is less than £1000 a month. At the end of each month I have usually gone into my overdraft (no charge) by around £50 - sometimes more, sometimes less.
I like the internet service with RBS & use it all the time. I very rarely visit a branch.
I understand I could switch my acct's to Scotland but is this the right thing to do? Or switch to Natwest but I know nothing about them. Is there a totally British bank left?

If you stay in credit for all or most of the month, then look at Halifax's Reward current account - you can get £5 per month from them. I find that their internet banking is excellent (much better than RBS's in my opinion) and customer service good.

Switching to Natwest wouldn't really give you very much ... they pay 0% interest on their current account, and customer service there is not much better than Santander.

Sorry if this is a daft question, but can I open more than one halifax reward accounts and circulate the £1000 a month through them (in a similar way to the LTSB vantage accounts?)

    Thanks

It was possible to open up to 3 sole accounts until last September/October (from memory) but Halifax now only allow one sole and one joint account per customer.

I just opened new accounts with RBS in Scotland, very easy to do online. It allows you to transfer stuff between accounts before the Santander move occurs.

I think the best bet is to look at what you need from a bank and talk to them.

Yes but don't you need to be able to deposit £1500 a month minimum - no good for us part time workers then?:(
