Ppl are not lazy. Thats just a stigma created by bitter idiots on this forum.

It is common sense to not take a ill paying job. You need motivation to make you take it.

People can moan all they like, they do anyway no matter what.

Trouble with not taking an ill paying job is everyone thinks they are worth more than they really are. Maybe the OP should use this as a stepping stone and use it as experience.

Wrong - it's all to do with living off the taxes of the rest of us. There is an obligation to get back to work as soon as possible.

Are you suggesting that anybody who doesn't like their job should go on the dole?

I never liked most of the jobs I had, but voluntarily going on the dole never occurred to me. I prefer being a moaner to being a parasite, as do most other people.

    Impossible anyway.

    There is no 'obligation'.

Sorry but to respond to all those above talking about minimum wage being above job seeker's allowance... actually it's not. Consider this - when you receive JSA in most cases you are also eligible for housing benefit and council tax benefit, along with other help. Who can afford rent, bills, car/ public transport, and other costs on minimum wage with no other help?? So in actual fact, you are far, far, FAR worse off in a minimum wage job than you are on benefits. Hence the cycle.
The only thing we know for sure, is that we know nothing

With the current job market, yes.

Seeing as you hardly have a choice.

I wouldn't lose sleep over it.

If you want to moan about people on benefits then moan at the 'royal family' or couples having babies without a financial plan.

Not people 'looking' for work claiming £200 pocket money each month.

  • The OP doesn't appear to be 'looking' for work though if he can afford to turn jobs down.

And, just to educate you a little, it is NOT ok to live off taxpayers when you could earn your way.
