Was told with a new upgrade that it was for 12 months, that turned out to be 24 months?? lie 1
then after 18 months the monthly cost rises to £35 from £25,
when asked on line why they tell me my discount has ended?? after a while am told it CAn go back to £25 if I reduce my mins, which I did, only to find nex bill that it has NOT been changed, and the best discounted deal was infact only £5 less, ??
This £5 extra has now cost them 3 accounts come December when it finally ends.. WHATCH WHAT YOUR TOLD IT DOES NOT ALWAYS MEAN THAT YOU WILL GET WHAT YOU ASKED FOR...

This is one of the main reasons I stick to Pay as you go. There is nothing worse than finding yourself tied into some contract that you cannot get out of, no matter what they decide your going to pay each Month.:A:dance:1+1+1=1:dance::A

This is why i take out all contracts by phone and request an headed email with that operators name and reference on it. So when i saw my bill was considerably higher and called to be told that was impossible and lying, i have evidence to call them the liar.Back by no demand whatsoever.0

I upgraded with Vodafone recently and looked at my bill online and they had automatically added insurance to my tariff. This is a con. They never mentioned insurance, I've always refused it in the past - they give you the first month free, then charge £9.99 per month. Is this so that you don't see the cost on your first bill, then you don't notice it on the subsequent bills? There are loads of people who pay by DD and never bother to log in online to look at their bill, (because you have to pay extra for a paper bill) so have no idea that they are being ripped off.0

its up to you to check the bill though, yes t mobile added insurance but all you have to do is call up and ask for it to be removed,
yes i do agree that sometimes the phone co's can be cheeky, ive recently been stung but partly my fault for believing the rep,0 -
Hi lexusman, Tracy2985 and DCFC79
Upgrades are meant to be something to look forward to. In this case it's clear this hasn't been a positive experience for you.
I'd really like to the turn this around for you.
If you send me an email from here with WRT135 in the subject line (so it comes straight to my team) I'll investigate this for you. Make sure in the body of the text you include your username and a link to your post.
I'm sure I can help
All the best

Ouch! I was thinking about moving to this carrier for my next upgrade!
Not so sure now, but then like any big company they're bound to make mistakes.
What's their coverage like?0 -
Well I'm with Vodaphone and have had zero problems so far. Don't forget that if you signed up via a middleman e.g. carphone warehouse or JAG then they will try to rip you off to the max.The size of a glory hole in an open pit should not be greater than the cross-section of the haul trucks that dump into it. Otherwise, you are bound to lose a truck, sooner or later. Source: Sergio Cha

Well I too now join the long list of people conned by vodafone, they should really change their company name from vodafone to "what a con" My 18 month contract had finished with vodafone and without any notification or authorisation trhey continued it as well as charging me £15.00 extra on top of my normal line rent. So where I was paying around £10.00 they started charging me £25.00 since november 2010 till current. Now that I have asked them to give me my money back which they have over charged, they are not replying to my question instead they said, everything is ok on your account. I also said, I would like to terminate the ongoing contract which I have not agreed to in first place, they said nothing about it. I have been contacting vodafone for two weeks over the phone and they said, their systems were down and could not look into my account. Is it possible that vodafone systems could be down for two weeks, what a joke.
I am now looking into sueing them as this is enough. I will not be contacting them anymore, instead a solicitor would.
good luck "what a con"0 -

you had an 18 month contract and didn't know when it ended?
you continued to pay an extra £15 for 5 months?
who's to say the original 18 month contract wasn't an offer reduced from £25 to £10?
who's to say after the 18 month contract the price wasn't to revert?
with the amount of info you leave out in your post and your own naievity...I don't think the blame lies completely with Vodafone. No two ways about this one: Anything Free is not a Basic Right..it had to be earned...by someone, somewhere0
