    Thank you. That makes sense.
What do you do with the items that you're clearing out?

I give them to a local charity shop. I would give them to friends, but our styles and body shapes are all quite different so it's not ideal and much better to give them to charity than just throwing them out.
  • I don't think i've spent £250 in the last 10 years!

My Mrs would say...'yes, you can tell!'

Does your Mrs do the shopping for you? Surely you must want a nice new suit or even a pair of jeans once in a while? Or perhaps the Mrs is happy that there's more shopping money available to her with you not being bothered;)

You see, Ebay that's what I am to lazy for. I just much rather give it to charity than having to deal with posting items and dealing with difficult buyers, refunds etc. It's a great way to recoup some money from purchases but I just can't bring myself to go through the hassle

Exactly, as long as you're both happy with your nice cookware and the lovely food you're making with it that's great!

I sometimes go through months where I buy nothing, then buy loads in the sale. I do though save up vouchers from surveys to add to my own cash or gifts and I think the most I can get away with, (any more and I have to starve to afford more!) is £150 in a month. I WISH I had more money to buy more clothes!! But added to that, my body shape changed alot in the last 2 years and I'm very unhappy about how clothes look on me now. I don't feel the same itch to own everything when I walk into stores now. One look in the mirror with it held up to me and I am cured!

I do though spend alot on hair and beauty. Much of what I get comes from ebay and I probably spend about £30 a month which I can ill afford! Makes me feel better though- sort of another type of downgrading of my spending!
