Sounds very unprofessional of the other GP to tell you that the first GP was wrong to be honest, pacemakers are contra-indicated for one of the medicines I'm on yet I'm on it with a pacemaker because the benefits outweigh the risks. Other doctors wouldn't have looked into the issue in as much detail as the doctor who initially prescribed me it so I would find it very unprofessional for another GP to comment on the issue.

Also one of the GPs at my practice had a breakdown and was off for over a year, there was much speculation about why she was off and that made her situation even worse and hindered her return to work, you should be very careful who you advertise your reservations to because it is unfair if you're saying this man got struck off when he's really off ill or off for other perfectly legitimate reasons.

TORBUK, how wasnt I making myself clear...?

I asked if it is possible to find out if a GP has been suspended/struck off and then went onto say...
...Because they have been suspended before and they have had me on the wrong medication for 18 months...

harveybobbles, if you have a complaint about your GP then you should pursue this. However I would echo GlasweJen's comments, sometimes there are good reasons for drugs with potential contra indications to be used together. It really is none of your business what the GP may have done (or not done) elsewhere.

I'm not sure how it worked (perhaps someone who knows will put me right) but I knew a couple who were medical students and joined the territorial army (I think it was) who would pay part of their student fees, then when they qualified as doctors they could be called up. I know one of them went to Afganistan last year.

Not when they are AD's which state in the medical guidelines that they must not be used together.

I doubt you are qualified to say that. If you are so certain, why have you not made a complaint?

You seem very interested in other people, I recall at one point you were trying to find out which !!!!!philes lived in your area. Maybe you should get on with your own life, rather than being so paranoid about others?

I think most people would be highly interested in knowing if there was a Pa3do living locally. Thankfully, the one that was living around here is now 6ft under being made into worm food.

Back on topic then - I may not be qualified, but I have been shown the medical guidelines by a GP as I didnt believe them that the two drugs should never be used together.

and fyi I'm in the process of complaining, but wanted info here too.
