Do Not Buy Currys Product Support

Just a follow on from a post about Currys product support I put on here last week.
A month and a day after Currys took my TV away for repair under my product support agreement. Two weeks and two days since they lost my TV. Two weeks since they issued a write off report to get it replaced and today they tell me they have never had a write off report issued and they'll issue one today.......
Unfortunately that means a further 10 day wait from today for them to issue me with a replacement.
It was 10 days until you were going to issue a replacement 14 days ago!!!
Do not buy their product support agreement, no customer service, poor procedures and no one who will take ownership of a problem!!!
Just goes to show that although the CEO John Browett talks about improving customer service all over the internet and on the DSGI website, he's failing miserably
Cheers Currys

I preferred it when we were hating on CometSquirrel! If I tell you who I work for, I'm not allowed to help you. If I don't say, then I can help you with questions and fixing products. Regardless, there's still no secret EU law.
Now 20% cooler0 -

Just thought I would put an update on this on here. On Monday 11th October, 37 days after taking my tv away for repair, 22 days after the date they arranged to be delivering back and countless numbers of phone calls, lies and being spoken to like a bit of dirt! Currys issued me with voucher for a replacement tv!!!
Very sad it all took so long with so many problems and quite honestly some of the worst customer service I've ever experienced, I've always quite liked Currys and the guys in store were in fact very helpful and knowledgable when I went in to get my new tv.
In case anyones interested they gave a £549 voucher on a 4 year old tv that I purchased for £778.
Thanks to anyone who gave any advice along the way0 -

Not a bad deal. I'd expect £549 to buy you a much better TV than £778 would have done 4 years ago!0 -

Yeah not a bad deal it's just such a shame they took so long to deal with it, considering they lost it 22 days before finally issuing a voucher. I just now need to wait for my phone bill to come so I can send them the cost for all the calls (think it's nearly at £30) as they never phone back and keep you on the phone for 40mins at a time.
Ultimately though Mark a much better tv as a put a little extra in myself as well to make sure of it0
