  • Having used the site to find the best deal and sent my phone off, I then read the reviews and my heart sank. I was pleasantly surprised when an email arrived saying my phone was there, followed sometime after by an email saying that my phone was being processed. I checked my account today and the money was there, in full. Yes they were not the fastest but they got there and I will recommend them to my friends and work colleagues.

  • Seems to be a lot of newbies on here, both slating these guys and giving them good reviews... anyone with a bit more MSE history got comments to add?

This place is £10 more than Fone Bank who I normally use and those guys are very good.. should I risk it for an extra £10?
A big believer in karma, you get what you give :A

If you find my posts useful, "pay it forward" and help someone else out, that's how places like MSE can be so successful.

    I have,
I had a cupboard drawer full of old mobiles that had been upgraded, hand me down'd, begged, borrowed etc and did the MSE article search.
I thought about using various firms but in the end I plumped for the one stop shop and this outfit came out with an overall majority.

I sent the phones in and pretty quickly received email confirmation as such.
Not too far longer and I got my cheque.

About 4 months later I got another round of emails saying they had received my phones and I thought I may have been on for another payment but alas no.

1 phone they stated as not working and I ummed and ahhd as it was temperamental but as it was they only reduced the offer by £2.

I bnow have another couple of phones and this crowd come 2nd to weeeeeeeebuy, needless to say I will take £1.50 less per phone and stick with this mob.

You are only as good as the last time somebody used you, and in my case they were pretty good and did what they said they would.

I've just sold 3 old Nokias to PhoneRecycleBank for £163, looking forward to receiving the bag, and more importantly the money...

I will try to remember to post here an update about how long it takes to receive the cash.

    Hi all,
As you can imagine, most people who post feedback will have had some problem or another, whereas if you have had a good service you're probably not going to post your feedback - I've sold three mobiles so far using different companies and never had a bad experience - but never posted about it - hence my post now.

I replaced my Xperia Arc with a Galaxy Nexus.

Used this company - got £4 cashback via quidco for the pleasure.
Entered details on 9th December - decided to send it back myself for they gave me an extra £2.
First day back at work was Monday 12th so took package to the Post Office and paid £5.90 on a special delivery as it convered the cost of the phone if it went missing - was delivered on 13th - got an email receipt on the 15th - and got payment confirmation on the 16th.

Checked my bank this morning and payment went in on 19th.

OK, I've had 3 good experiences - one day I'll get a bad one though :)

    Cheers

    Alun
  • These guys offered the best price for my two phones but they will only they only offer paying by cheque for a premium. Not great. They will pay by bank transfer or paypal but bewarned paypal take a cut of that money.

They acknowledged receipt of the phones via email and also that the phones had been checked and the money would be processed. But all this took ages, payment did arive but took longer than they quote the maximum time they say it will take.

Dont think the extra they were offering for the phones is/was worth it for the poor service. Will not use again.

Sent in working nokia C5 (checked at a local Cex store but they wanted charger which i did not have at the time to get full price)

Got an email saying phone faulty. Rang them up to cancel my order and get phone sent back. Only to be told that payment for a full working handset has been processed. So i agreed to wait.

Payment did not arrive for 2 weeks. Had to call up twice only to be told that yes payment for working handset has been issued and i should wait.

Payment for FAULTY handset arrived in my paypal. Rang back asking !!!!!!. Very unhelpful staff. Hung up on 2x. Before got through to a chap who said nothing can be done. Phone has been recycled and i am stuck with whatever i received!!

    Totally Un happy.

I do not post much but that got me riled enough to break the mould and get on here so others would not go through my experiences.

I didn't realise this thread was here. This link is to a thread I made on here seeking advice about this company - it may be relevant to other people using or viewing this thread.

    It's not particularly positive.
