I will write down what the pop-up windows say 2mor and download a firewall again, perhaps I didn't do it correctly!! I did download Zonealarm but INT EXP wouldn't work so uninstalled it cause I needed to see your thread!

I've done it with all your help.

unistalled and then installed ZONE ALARM - FIREWALL (working fine now)

AVG 7.5 working all the time
SPYBOT - Search & Destroy - for as as & when
ADAWARE - for as & when
CCLEANER - to clean temporary files bit scared to use it for anything else!
HIJACKTHIS - just to post on thread every now and then for a check
and the list of ONLINE SCANNERS when I need to use them

on the INTERNET for 3 hours this pm and no problems, 2 scans b4 i switched off NO PROBLEMS
all thanks to you "lot"

next task will be startup !!!! lots happening there I don't need ! takes a few minutes and chunts away.... New thread of course. Ta Nic.

somethings reappeared..........WinAntispyware 2006
looked it up on google and yahoo seems to be a problem to get rid of but there are a few suggestions of sites that will kill it.
anyone here seen or heard of this, I would just like to confirm my findings I'm getting paranoid about any site unless I confirm it elsewhere.

If you're receiving Winantispyware popups again I'd say your vulnerable Sun Java installation may well be to blame. Vundo/Conhook trojans which often spawn popups for this program take advantage of the Sun Java vulnerability. Click here for details on updating Sun Java.
