WELL !!!! followed removal guide as much as poss? I couldn't find system restore by instructions so I have done this without disabling system restore. so bit woried they may be hiding somewhere!!!!!!! it wouldn't let me download... defender or spybot, the trojans just kept coming? so took bull by the horns and updated.... microsoft 2000 as much as poss and updated AVG to 7.5 as i already had previous version, installed as much as it would let me. it seems that some of the problems were not letting them install. THEN STARTED GUIDE..deleted all temp files with crap cleaner. scanned with what I could then shutdown and restart and downloaded what I couldn't first time. although still wouldn't do defender? restarted in safe mode and started from 2 again......... then followed pandasoft...wouldn't let me? but housecall would so did it. just scanned again with AVG and killed some more. Been on internet and haven't had any pop ups yet? Not sure they're all gone but the majority of them have...I Think. fed up watching screen so will see what happens tomorrow. I will do hijack this if I still get problems.. will updated thread 2 morrow. ta everso.

  • Download HJTsetup.exe to your desktop.

Double-click HJTsetup.exe icon on your desktop to start the installation.

By default it will install to C:\Program Files\Hijack This.

Continue to click Next in the setup dialogue boxes until you get to the Select Addition Tasks dialogue.

Put a check by Create a desktop icon then click Next again.

Continue to follow the rest of the prompts from there.

At the final dialogue box click Finish and it will launch Hijack This.

Click the Do a system scan and save a logfile button. It will scan and the log should open in notepad.

Click on "Edit > Select All" then click on "Edit > Copy" to copy the entire contents of the log.
