Got an iphone, do I need an iphone sim?

Are your contacts saved on your SIM or in your old phone? If it's the SIM, you can import them by selecting:

Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > Import SIM Contacts

If they're in your old phone, you might be able to back this up to your PC and then import your contacts via iTunes, or via Gmail as Exhortation has mentioned.

The iphone has downloaded my DDs address book (she has an iphone too) when I plugged it into the PC to charge:mad:

So I have them now. Do I have to delete them one by one:(?
I can't find a delete all contacts button - before I import from sim.
