Complete and utter incompetence on a scale never seen before in UK banking.
My wife banks with A&L/San. Recently a new San cheque book arrived with one pre printed credit slip. Last Tuesday two cheques sent on one slip totalling over £500 was sent via the post office cheque postal service. Still nothing showing on her account today.
After 3 non answered and a dozen or so calls that don't recognise log ins and 4 succesful calls, finally it transpires that the credit has been sat in a suspense account. For crying out loud! Can't these morons provide an efficient service. Not fit for purpose!Don't lie, thieve, cheat or steal. The Government do not like the competition.

I'm sorry, I don't apologise. That's just the way I am. Homer (Simpson)0 -
Because of Santander messing with the sort codes and originally saying that both the old and new ones will work alongside each other, I have gone overdrawn with 2 bounced Direct Debits.
Money was sent to the old sort code before Christmas which has never arrived into the account.
Anyone know if Santander will cancel their bounced DD fees because of this?
If they had said to use the new sort code from the start, then this would of not of happened.0
