i must say, i am inclined to agree with you here... i get loads of free stuff via the internet.. most recently 48 t.shirts from a well known company that offered a free t.shirt with every entry to their comp that had freepost entry !!.. stuff like this usually ends up as carboot fodder.. so it gets sold on.. and allthough things like this dont come with a no sell on 'rule', i know that some people who use this site, have more than one email address to obtain tickets via SFF etc.. and pass those tickets to family and friends to use.. so allthough they are not making money out of it, they are still not following the SFF rules to the letter... and so 'abusing the system'?.... just because money doesnt change hands this way.. makes it no less ruthless? (for want of a better word).. anyhow i would just say...after reading the high and mighty responses.. the phrase 'glass houses' and 'stones' comes to mind !!... :rotfl: on a lighter note, im soo looking forward to watching 'the artist' on tuesday... first thought this may be in black and white !!0 -

If they sell there own allocation in lieu of going themselves I'd let them off BUT if they apply for loads and loads then it's against the spirit of it!!!0 -

Just back from seeing 'The Artist' and I loved it. Stylish, funny and poignant. I couldn't see how they were going to make this work as a silent movie....but work it did. Praps a bit slow in the middle but overall...very enjoyable.
Many thanks to OP :T
(and I soooo want that dog!!!)0 -

Agree The Artist was excellent.
Absolutely brilliant how they managed to make it seem as though it actually was in the late 20's and early 30's
Fashions, hairstyles, cars, furniture, even the mannerisms.
Must get some Oscars, even if it is only for set design and costumes etc.
Loved the 'audiences'..... again, looked so real.
p.s And the dog was superb.0 -
And there was me thinking that Snowy rocked in Tintin but the dog in The Artist was fantastic.
Wonderful, funny, stylish, emotional and completely charming. It's no wonder that The Artist is already winning award. Truly well deserved. :T0 -
The Artist was a breath of fresh air!!
Cinema was packed, I got there 25 mins before and it was filling up then!!
The dog stole the film for me - it would have been too intense otherwise!
Well Done to 'The Artist'0
