On the website (see the FAQs), it says:

"Tickets are available to Virgin Media and Virgin Mobile customers. If you’ve just joined us, you’ll be able to access Movies First tickets within 14 days. With a new film showing every month, you’ll be on your way to the cinema soon."

So you have to register beforehand or you won't be able to apply.

    Also, the site says:

"You will need to bring your Movies First e-ticket – this will be emailed to you when you complete the booking process – and photo identification."

I haven't had to show photo ID before, which is handy as I don't carry my passport everywhere!

What no London viewings for Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol. Shame, I have a friend who just offered me his virgin media account number.

"New Years Eve" was ok'ish. Some funny moments but a bit weak really. We had the special security guards that watch out for anybody trying to film/capture the movie.

    "Shame"
is being previewed on Thursday 15th as well. I was hoping to get a ticket for that so I could get one for The Artist on Tuesday but not fortunate.

"Shame" apparently has some strong sex and sex references. (seeing it Tuesday!!!!!!)
  • Does anyone know about the Sky screening for Treasure Island. It has let me book tickets but there are no details about it. Is it a movie or TV show? It also says there is Q&A
  • I really liked New Years Eve, I thought Zac Effron was really good in it xx

I saw New Years Eve in Swansea last night and i did enjoy it. It is a feel good film with some humour and lots of famous people. There were only a couple of empty seats which was good to see and 3 security staff.

Just got 2 tickets! But it says "The Guardian" - does anyone know if we need a copy of The Guardian from a particular day to use these tickets?

I went to a couple of screenings with the Guardian logo on the form, but none have wanted any ID as yet. It may depend on your cinema and who greets you, just a guess. Just try and if they refuse then you lose nothing, .... but the journey and your time.
