  • Let's get it back to what it should be then :)

You seen any decent movies lately? I thought Moneyball was half decent, some odd casting (superbad boy) but all round a half decent movie.

Wondered if anyone saw Take Cover. I really enjoyed it, though it was a little slow in places (a lady on the back row in Exeter fell asleep - twice!) but there seem to be some very mixed reviews. Mark Kermode liked it!

Yeah, Showcase have had a few lately, Fright night, immortals, footloose, Tin tin, Tresspass & machine gun preacher, But the last 4 on Sky rewards havent been showcase.
Gutted we missed out on Happy feet 2 and puss in boots, they'd have been fun, for the kids I mean.... hahaha

Missing out on New years eve too, not that the husband is bothered about that one.

Yeah, that was the feast. Never used to get many before that. Reverting back to original state by the looks of it. We had two in one night, the night Fright Night 3D was shown.

I saw it and was totally impressed by it. Wonderful film, intense and very moving. Was utterly surprised when it ended to find out that my companions didn't share my opinion lol One friend fell asleep and her husband, daughter and her boyf were bored rigid!

Takes all sorts I suppose ;)

It probably helps to know something about the film before you see it, but I will not include spoilers!
I expect that many people who saw it probably are used to either the plethora of rom coms or animated offerings out at the moment. It was certainly a very original piece. American reviewers seem to think it will be on the Oscar nominations.

I don't allow myself to be influenced by reviewers before seeing a film. As for Oscar Nominations, I despair after seeing the long list for Documentary award and the ones missing, in particular Senna.

Plus Iron Lady has just won it's first award.:(
