  • Hi,
Does anyone know if you get popcorn with the skymovies tickets. I am going to Happy Feet2 and wanted to check?
  • Of course you don't get free popcorn with a free ticket. For a large carton you pay around £5 for it.

We used to get free popcorn from Sky but most screenings don't get them any more.

May I suggest you take the advice of your avatar and be nice to people so that they in turn will be nice to you!

The question wasn't silly and didn't deserve the tone of your response.

i recently attended a preview via Virgin Media to watch 'Drive' at my local VUE cinema. there was a free bag of popcorn on every seat, much to our delight... so this can happen, i expect not too often, but its obviously possible.. :)

Virgin used to give free bottles of water to wash it down with too. Sadly no more :(

Just to let you know I wasn't being rude, I was merely pointing out that Sky do not offer free popcorn with a free ticket. I've been to many Sky previews and I was not given any free popcorn as yet, if any. And why are you picking on my avatar status? Does this give you authority to pick on me? Just because I'm a newbie on this site doesn't mean I'm a newbie on forums and on the internet. I used to create web pages like this right at the beginning of the world wide web. I just thought I'd let you know that I am no real newbie on the net and that I wasn't being rude. If anything I think you might be being rude to me. In fact I think I answered that members question so I should be given praise for that.

Sky have given away free popcorn in the past, usually when they promoted a tv episode screening, but they haven't done so for most of this year. I'm wondering which screening gets the christmas goodie bag this year, apart from the popcorn and bottle of water there was an advent calendar and a cracker last year, that I remember. The only screenings where popcorn is a reliable addition are the Virgin screenings, the last one had toffee popcorn.

The use of the phrase "of course" when answering the question implied that you were being dismissive of the o/p's question especially as you then went on to state how much popcorn is.

As I stated, when Sky first started advance screenings, popcorn and in some cinemas, bottles of water were left on each seat or handed to people as they entered. In a very few cinemas they still give popcorn but very rarely.

Sadly, not everyone got the toffee popcorn, some of us got the cardboard common or garden variety. :(
