Its for non-subscribers, the link will allow bookings after the subscribers have had their chance to book first.

Edit: When the "tickets remaining" bit says "yes" or has a number then the password will work. As long as it says "TIMES+ PRIORITY " then you cannot book.

What this means is if on the booking page it says this..

    Tickets Remaining TIMES+ PRIORITY

Then only Times subscribers can claim tickets

    When it says

Tickets Remaining "Yes" or a number "99" etc then the tickets are open to the public

It is only showing 3 venues left, none of which of any use to me so at least I dont need to keep checking now, still TIMES+PRIORITY at the moment, venues are:
Odeon cinemas: Derby, Epsom, Newcastle (Silverlink).
  • I don't know if anyone has already posted about this but i thought i'd let everyone know. If you get tickets for a Disney screening( i got some for Tangled) don't assume that they work the same way as Seefilmfirst, because they don't. None of the seats are allocated and the site continues to issue tickets even if the screening is full. We arrived in plenty of time this morning to be told that it was first come first served and that the screening was full. There were over a dozen other customers with tickets that were told the same thing. Nowhere on the tickets did it say first come first served and we were left with two very dissapointed little boys. So please be aware on the disney screening site just because it lets you have tickets doesn't mean you'll get to see the film.

Went to see the Preview of Tangled this morning.
I was really looking forward to a relaxing, lighthearted morning.
Instead of which I am left feeling annoyed, angry, stressed and disappointed.
    Yes, you have guessed.
Cinema full - ages before the kick off time.
Several other families turned up with dozens of children....
To add to the disappointment, we were not even offered the chance to see anything else.
Some had travelled considerable distances by the sound of it, and with petrol the price it is, this was an expensive and pointless trip out for us all.
Of course we should have all got there earlier, but if there are 100 seats, and 200 tickets are issued, surely it doesn't matter if 120 turn up 2 hours before the screening time, 20 are going to be turned away, as will the other 80 who arrive 5 minutes later !!:(

p.s just read cutiingcarolines post above - so double checked my ticket.
    She is absolutely correct.
No mention at all of "First come first served" or any other term which could imply it would be a race to get limited seats.

Does anyone have an email address for Disney I can contact them on?

I have been trawling their website, but cannot see anything relevant.

    Thanks

I'm afraid all tickets all first come first served, and no seats are ever 'pre-booked' through any of the agents, SFF, TT, Disney etc etc...

There are a few reasons why all the seats were taken and people were turned away

1, the companies issue more tickets than seats, this is because some people often book tickets, then realise they cant go etc, but never return the tickets - I'm guessing the cinemas give feedback on the numbers, and as the companies start to see that screenings are maxing out they'll reduce the number of extra tickets issued
2, people making fraudulent copies of tickets, probs not a massive issue regarding the number of tickets, but still and issue. and so easy to do as well. And before anyone suggests it, I dont do this. But it has been known on this forum that people have. I always wonder why people come on here asking for the address off the cinema, when really it should state it on their ticket?! (And yes, i know there are the innocent few where the ticket isn't clear)

Sorry to hear you never saw your Film , I can see what geordie_ben has posted and I really never knew this, it is such a shame it is not made clear, surely there is more negative publicity surrounding them oversubscribing these films ( the paper that advertises along with the Disney booking site ) than a cinema with a few empty seats ??
This is a do-it-yourself test for paranoia: you know you've got it when you can't think of anything that's your fault.

Just back from this film, which I thought was really good. Some brilliant moments in it, but prepare yourself for the end witha hanky. I didn't and consequently have a wet top. Say mo more.

Very sorry you didn't get to see the film. :(

There is normally a small over allocation by all the free tickets providers to allow for no-shows. The problem where lots of people get turned away is more normally caused by someone who is a bit keen on photoshop!

Could be worth emailing Disney anyway or the Daily Mirror as the tickets were issued through Disney Screenings but it was for a promotion in the Daily Mirror last week, thats were the screening was advertised and password was given. You were supposed to take the token from the paper with you too, the same as the promotion in the Daily Mail for Tangled a couple of weeks back.

Wouldn't hurt to email the cinema either you never know they might take pity if you do a nice email saying how upset the children were, might offer you some tickets.....don't ask, don't get! ;)

I don't actually believe that they do "oversell" for free previews - in over 5 years of going to them I have never been to one which was full.

I think in the case of Tangled there has clearly been some kind of !!!!-up on the website. Was this the showing that people couldn't retrieve their tickets for? I reckon something went wrong which resulted in too many tickets being given out.
