I don't want to sound like an old fart, especially seeing as I've not even hit 20 yet, but...
Would it be a good idea to make another cinema ticket codes thread for The Times & Sky? It's quite annoying getting an email, loading the page and then seeing that you have to be part of Sky or The Times (which aren't for free) so it's a kind of contradiction of the 'free cinema tickets' title of the thread.
I know a great number of people have Sky, and some people subscribe to The Times Plus, but there are probably a majority that don't, and I'm sure they'd agree in saying that the free cinema tickets thread should be reserved for showfilmfirst, seefilmfirst, monumental screenings and the other companies that are free and without subscription.

I hear what you're saying but then if you are already a Sky or Times customer, the screenings are free. I too find all the Times and Sky screenings annoying!0 -

I also disagree and I am not a Times subscriber.
I suppose it would depend on what the people who are good enough to find and post the codes and information for us wanted to do (thank you, you know who you are :A).
I would imagine it is more time-consuming for them to post on seperate threads if they have a SFF and a Sky or Times code to share, rather than just posting on the one thread (and what about Daily Mail, Disney etc). I know I sometimes find it difficult to find this thread and the concert ticket one as they seem to move about!
I'm just grateful to the posters that do take the time to find these screenings and post the details as quickly as they do, as I have seen many films I otherwise couldn't have afforded to see. :A:A0 -
hi folks , does anyone know how strict odeon (norwich) tends to be with having the newspaper page needed for the free screenings?
thanks for any inputgeordie_ben wrote: »andy which movie and paper is it?mail on sunday, for tangled on 9th jan
I don't know specifically about Norwich, but for this particular offer, on the page in question in the Mail On Sunday, there is a TOKEN/COUPON (with DOTTED LINES around - presumably to cut out) which says "TO THE CASHIER" and continues that upon presentation "WITH A VALID TICKET" they can "Admit up to 4 people"
Not sure you are going to get in unless you've GOT BOTH !

We went to see Tangled at Bury Vue today (Sky screening). Arrived to be told they didn't have any idea about the screening and hadn't been sent a film to show. Fair play though - the manager offered everyone free tickets to any film they wanted. We watched Gulliver's Travels in 3D, and, I'm sorry, but we thought it was great!******** Never be a spectator of unfairness or stupidity *******"Always be calm and polite, and have the materials to make a bomb"0
