Went to see Gulliver's travels yesterday having surrendered to paying!! What a complete let down from Jack (and I even liked the pick of destiny, so thats saying something). The best bit about it was the orange advert, not much funny about the film at all and very hammy acting all round. I would have to say save your money and go and see megamind instead, at least there are some good laughs in that. Think JB needs an overhaul and maybe some different character roles than the same tried and tested ones he has used consistently since day one. In fact this is as bad as year one and that was baaad:p One person even texted all the way through the film, can't say I blame him but still annoying.0

I went to see the preview of this with DD and really enjoyed it. I couldn't quite see why it needed to be in 3D as there didn't seem to be that many effects that would warrant it, but otherwise I thought it was a fun film and typical Jack Black.0 -

Couldn't agree more glad that i didn't have to pay as i had some freebie tickets, terrible acting Emily Blunt was over hamming it, the jokes were poor just glad that i didn't waste my hard earned dosh on this rubbish.0 -

Thanks to everyone who's posted screenings. :A I've seen some great (and some interesting) films because of you (although I still squirm when I think of sitting in the cinema with my 15 year old granddaughter watching the opening scenes of the World's Greatest Dad).
See you in 2011.
Take care and stay safe :smileyhea Jonty x0
