Why?
I can see that your post is headed with 'spoiler alert', so stopped reading the rest, as presumably it will spoil the film for anyone who is going to see the preview tomorrow night.
Just wondered why you would do that?
tbh it isnt a spoiler, as it doesnt give any of the storyline away - its just someone questioning a standard police procedure - ie why you would check out people with a known criminal history, before you start looking at the wider public - however its not an intrinsical part of the story and has no bearing on how the film pans out
everything that was in the 'spoiler' is mentioned in the blurb associated for the film, and would have been seen in the trailers, so i dont think it has given you any clues as to what actually went on in the film, that you didnt already know (other than toyotas feature alot lol)

Thanks for that Flea. I'm going to see the preview tomorrow and couldn't understand why anyone would knowingly want to spoil the plot.
PS Toyota's - is that a clue? I once had a Toyota sewing machine that was lethal!!

Why? Do you have this problem with cinema seats?
I'd appreciate you leaving me alone now and I will try and avoid you as we obviously do not see eye to eye on some subjects:)"Sealed Pot challenge" member No. 138

What on earth are you talking about??? That's why I put 'spoiler alert', as has been the practice on the internet for many many years...
The clue is in the 'spoiler alert' bit - it's to tell you NOT to read it if you don't want the film spoiled. It isn't called a 'spoiler' because people actually WANT to 'spoil' the film for you, it's used when discussing a film and some of the details discussed might just spoil some of the surprise of the film.
Sorry if that wasn't clear.0 -
Saw the Next 3 days yesterday. Brilliant film.
Hatfield Galleria was full and people were struggling to find seats together. There were 2 young girls infront of us who occupied middle 2 of the 4 seats leaving an empty seat on either side. When they were asked to move up, it was with reluctantce and attitude that they moved. Why are people so selfish???0 -

Derby was like this too - people just get more and more inconsiderate with each passing year I'm afraid...0 -

I wasn't questioning what a 'spoiler alert' was (but thank you for the explanation), I just wondered why you would put it up while the previews are still being shown.

If people feel the need to post a spoiler (or anything that may be construed as a spoiler, such as plot information), can they type it in white and indicate that they've done so, so that others can choose whether or not to highlight and read it?******** Never be a spectator of unfairness or stupidity *******"Always be calm and polite, and have the materials to make a bomb"0

Because the nature of the internet is that sometimes discussion about a film will take place before the entire population has seen said film, hence the need for 'spoiler alerts'.
The first preview of The Next Three Days was back at the start of December and there's been plenty of discussion on various forums about it since then.0 -

Nice idea, but I was posting from a Smartphone. Plus putting 'Spoiler Alert' very clearly and then a HUGE gap before the discussion is pretty clear and perfectly simple to avoid isn't it?
I'm not quite sure why this has suddenly become such a big issue - there is regular discussion on this thread about films that people haven't yet seen, usually with no warning or spoiler alerts.
It is the 'Free Cinema Tickets discussion thread', after all...0
