It's not like you forced anyone to not go. you were just giving them all the information.

True, spose if they wanted to double check they could have called their own cinema

On a separate note...is anyone else having problems with the Sky booking for The Kings Speech?
I'm a Sky customer but am unable to see details for this screening anywhere on the site :(

Can't decide if I really enjoyed it or not. Some hilarious laugh out loud moments, but other times it dragged on. Glad I didn't pay for it, although I probably would have got it on Lovefilm later anyway (probably more of a dvd film).

Never thought I'd see that much of Anne Hathaway - I still think of her in Princess Diaries, don't think I can look at her in the same light after seeing her practically naked!

Will be seeing this end of Dec! You should watch Bareback Mountain, Anna is on "form" there too

plus there is that girl from Dawson's creek, you don't see much of her front either

This is only visible to movie subscribers. This is the direct link to the page but its likely it'll ask you to log in then tell you that you cannot see it.

Thanks to all PMs and posts - it is indeed because this screening is for Sky Movies customers only. If, like me, you are a general Sky customer you won't see the free screening appear on your online account.

Thankfully I've got Love and Other Drugs and Next Three Days to look forward to next week.

Saw Tron last night - really enjoyed the 80s retro feel of the film. Although I seem to be in the minority here. The soundtrack by Daft Punk was fab, the 3D effects awesome. Ok, not a great story, but the soundtrack and effects made up for it for my friend and I.

Glad you and your friends enjoyed it Misty38.
As I posted last night, I never saw the original, and thought the sound track and sound/special effects were excellent, but personally speaking I like a little bit of a story to go with the pictures and sound.

I don't think I was alone in feeling let down.
Atmosphere on leaving the packed cinema last night was very flat indeed.
I heard some Staff actually asking "Did you enjoy?" etc.... and was met with silence.
Luckily I was not asked, or I would have just given a non-committal answer.
Don't like to be unappreciative of a free gift;)

On a serious note, do you think anyone ever takes note of our feedback?
It is just that some films I have seen would definitely benefit from a bit of judicious editing, maybe an overhaul of the soundtrack to add atmosphere/tension etc.
i.e. Improvements could still be made before it went on general release.
I am not saying a rotten tomato can ever become an Oscar winner thanks to last minute changes, but surely having spent millions making a 'disappointing' film, the studios would be willing to consider every and any opportunity to improve the film, and hence their takings.

Geez, what the heck is wrong with you two?

A load of drama about pretty much nothing. Speaking of what each board if for...this one is for polite and respectful discussion about films and film-related things.

Either you two should make a film - oh I can imagine the tension - or get a room :rotfl:

They are probably having a torrid affair, but carrying on like this 'in public' to throw us all off the scent.;)

You can always tell who is going to end up in bed together, they are the ones who hate each other at the start of the film !!:rotfl:
