Not enough sleep last night and now the cough has turned up, but that's just my body feeling rough. My heart is happy and that's what really matters!

Off for a curry with work colleagues tonight - just got the drudgery to get through today.

Currently going :wall: trying to get my case under 15kg. It is 16kg but knowing how variable the airport scales can be I want it lower than that. I've got all the books in my hand luggage handbag and also now the 2 pairs of shoes I'm taking but seems I need another kg to go.

God knows how people with kids cope with the allowance when it has to be combined with their own. I don't even have a large amount of clothing that I'm taking!

As I am toiletries mule though that's where the weight shoots up (insert raised eye smiley!)

blimey. Heard a noise outside and the back door is open and there's a very regal looking siamese cat there mewing at me! Wonder where that is from......most cats run a mile when they see me (I'm not a cat person and they don't seem to like me!) but this one sat there and tried to tell me something or other before going.

Why not download books to your phone to read instead of taking them and reduce the weight of your luggage BB?

I wanted to use the t-mobile book shop for some ebooks but they work out between £10 and £12 each! There are a few free ones but most have a charge with them. The books were in my hand luggage bag but it's my case. Ryanair are such tight gits on their luggage allowance as well and the scales never weigh the same. Coming back from Mallorca in May my case weighed more than going out even though it had less (about half a doen book) in it!

I wanted it to be under 15 just so I knew I had a bit of leaway....you'd think being something like 4 sizes smaller clothes would weigh much less being all those inches smaller!!

Tempted to leave OH's birthday present behind.......that probably weighs around a KG and I can't see he'd care either way....yes, I'm going to say he can either open his present before he goes, when he gets back or he can carry it and open it..........it's wrapped.......will he trust me enough for him to carry a wrapped gift he doesn't know the contents of onto a plane.......;) :whistle:

Been busy this morning, went to get mums pension post parcels and pack her of on hols

Just put a load of towels on the line (hoping they will dry) Sun out here not a cloud in the sky

Just having a coffe then going to take pictures for the website while theres good light.

right, 14.3kg. I'll stick with that as I have my glasses, contact lens solution and hair mousse to go in tomorrow.

Blimey, the case was heavy picking it up......can't believe I've lost over double the weight of the case.........how mad is that.......
