Evening Peeps
Congratulations Adelight!
Sorry to hear your sad news Suzybloo, will be thinking of you all day.
Been up since about 5am, woke up and couldn't get back to sleep so I made a batch of Twinks, did the washing which I put out (and it dried!), actually had breakfast for once and did quite a bit of tidying before I went to work. Went to Ikea after work to pick up a present for a 5 year old (mini pots and pans) and met DS1 for a coffee as he doesn't work far away.
It hadn't rained here for about 24 hours but it has decided to start again this evening. Had hm chicken and rice soup for lunch which was yummy and will have something and chicken for tea in a bit (had a bit of a dodgy tummy today so not sure if I am hungry). Apart from that not much os.
Hope Monday was/is good to you, take care. XX0 -
Many thanks for your kind thoughts folks, OH is a bit better tonight it was just such a shock. It definately makes you sit back and count your blessings.
Glad to hear some good news - well done Adelight on getting a job, and also that some folks were lucky enough to get their washing dry - unfortunately that wasnt the case here!
Have a good evening folks,

I'm back! I just got a call offering me the job yayyyyyy!!
Well i started sorting stuff out, then OH walked in so we ended up going to the garden centre. Where i bought loads of reduced veg seedlings, so spending tomorrow with DS2 planting them. He's chuffed and shouted "wow" when he saw. Made me happy too, so its all good!
Now i'm going to make a cuppa and watch Jamie Oliver.
Have a good night all x0 -

DH had his best friend die a couple of years ago at the same age and it hit him hard. BF was single but it was still a shock.
We have hardly stopped all day, getting quotes for electric shower, mixer tap for family bathroom, immersion heater fixed and leak in or near water tank sorted etc.
Decorator to fix living room ,utility room and two DDs bedrooms chatted to and prelims done,
Went to BHS and bought a chandelier for £54 instead of £250,a dining room light for £37.50 of £125 and light fittings for half price.
Going to look at wallpaper tomorrow and paint shades and maybe look for a big sofa that we don't have to wait for months for delivery.
Made Bratwurst and chips for tea as rushed but boiled some potatoes and will make spag bol or veggie shepherd's pie tomorrow.
Cooked potatoes can be used for chips, mash, spanish omelet etc.tomorrow. If it is raining and miserable might make lentil soup as well.
