Good Morning all, damp and drizzly here at the moment ,glad I got all my washing and ironing out of the way .I now find that I do it when it looks like there will be some drying wind, not just becasue its Monday ;ergo washday, and if the forecast is gloomy then I just bung it in the laundry basket and wait till it brightens up a bit.
There's only me to sort out and I doubt that I will run out of clothes in the space of a week. When you think about it you go on holiday and don't take the washing machine with you for a fortnight.Different when you have a family though as they all have to have their bits done .my DDs machine is on twice a day every day of the year but there is 7 of them, four of whom a grubby wee scallywags.
I'm off to Maidstone this afternoon to take DD for a job interview ,fingers crossed, then tonight I have a Uni class. So a busy day ahead.Tomorrow is craft class so I must sort out what I am taking with me shortly .My arm is getting better by the day and I now have a lovely slim wrist and shapely arm(wish the rest of me could catch up with it):):)
Right I'm off have a brilliant day every one what ever you are doing enjoy it if possible
Cheers JackieO xx0 -
Good Morning All
Just a quick post as am on my course - have a little break.
Suzybloo - sorry to hear about OH's friend, my thoughts are with the family.
Very wet here again today - would be lovely to have a dry day soon. Also have a headache which I think is down to the weather.
Anyway should count myself lucky that am working in an office today and not out in the rain.
Off now to continue with the course. Have loads to get through. Nice easy dinner of Chilli Quesadillas tonight.
(((hugs))) to anyone who needs one. Have a great day,x0 -
Morning All
Not nice here today grey and wet - luckily all the washing was done on Saturday and dried on the line, there are only a few bits in the wash bin so i am happy about that.
Have been MIA for a couple of days because DS is having problems with one of his teachers - she seems to be gunning for him and has threatened to kick him off her course - trouble is she is assistant head of sixth form. The same teacher tried to deter DS from doing science and additional science at GCSE and he managed to get A* So things have been a bit stressed at chez BB over the weekend to say the least.
So DH is going to see the head of sixth form this afternoon to try to sort things out.
Suzybloo What a shock! It always is when someone so young dies suddenly like that (((((Hugs to all))))
Taplady Great news about DS - they definitely wouldn't give him a staff discount if they were going to get rid of him they are only issued when you have passed the probationary period.
I am being a mad baker today and so far I have made dough for a wholemeal loaf, seeded loaf and white loaf, I also want to make some rolls and a sweet bread.
Well I am off for a bit more baking take care all xBlessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

So in addition to cleaning like a maniac I NEED to prep these apples to make pies before they grow legs and walk out. I've had them over a week and I am sick of them hanging around now. Nearly all my toms have ripened and I only have one jam jar - wanted to make chutney/relish but won't be able to if I can't get my hands on any more jars

I bought 8 jars of value curry sauce from sainsbugs this week 9p per jar, I decant them into freezer bags and into freezer, give the jars a good wash out and use them, cheapest way of buying jars :money:
Butterfly, I hope you manage to get it sorted with your ds school xx
Suzybloo, how terribly sad, thinking of you all xx
Tappers, fingers crossed for your ds x
Its brightened up here a bit, so I have taken the washing from the airer and put it outside, and washed dd's bedding, hope it stays dry for a while.
Done my online shop, and hoovered through, sorted the pile of shoes in the understairs cupboard, how can three people have so many ? chucked a pair of OH shoes out, wonder if he will notice. Washed all the kitchen cupboards down with white vinegar, just having a coffee, and will go and tackle upstairs.
Have fun0 -

jackieglasgow wrote: »That Who Do You Think You Are was good last night, wasn't it, Bitsy? I really like him, he seems like a decent man (Matthew Broderick for those who didn't see it) I had a wee tear in my eye at the end. I then watched the George Michael concert, which was fantastic, he is a great singer.
Apart from his slightly greying hair he looks pretty much the same as when he did Ferris Bueller's Day Off - I love that film :rotfl: :rotfl:It was a good episode - mind you I've not seen a bad one yet.
Also watched Downton Abbey which I am really enjoying.I bought 8 jars of value curry sauce from sainsbugs this week 9p per jar, I decant them into freezer bags and into freezer, give the jars a good wash out and use them, cheapest way of buying jars :money:
Ah never thought of that. Thanks for the tip Redruby
OK washed the sheets and there were dirty great big marks all over them from the washing machine :mad: Running them through again on the refresh cycle before I hang them outside - sun's still here :T
Popped up the shops, couldn't get the foil pie dishes I wanted so will have to make do with my crock flan dishes. Picked up a couple of other bits and came back and put the vac round. Not my usual cat lick but pulled all the furniture back etc. Need to dust but also have to parcel up my ebay items so think that needs to be done first.
Got no cake or biccies in the house so have to fit in some baking at some point this week.
Butterflybrain - Hope your H manages to get something sorted at the school. xx
adelight - crossing my fingers for a call for you xx Edited to add: Congrats on getting the job - we crossed postsWell done x
OK had better go and persuade DD to go for a nap while I crack on with my stuff.I have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks

Hi all,
(((Hugs to all who need them)))
adelight - congrats on the job
suzybloo - sorry to hear about that! I hope your DH will be ok soon, it's awful when something like that happens.
Quiet day today, I'm at work infecting people with my cold and OH is starting back at uni to do his second year today! Need to get re-started on FlyLady I think, 4 light bulbs blew yesterday and only for me to find I didn't have any spares! Was hoping to have leftover chicken for dinner tonight but when I carved it up it was all bloody so I binned it as I didn't think it could be saved, so I think I shall be lazy and have the Fray Bentos I bought as a treat from Ickyland.
Hoping to get caught up on the washing up as well today, trying out my homemade washing liquid for the first time! Also need to get caught up on the washing, I'm really starting to feel not having a tumble dryer now, the airers just don't seem to be as fresh! Heating still off - for now!Frugal fanatic!
