  • Hi again

Have decided to blend my 'albatross list', all the stuff in the garden, and the Flying Lists in my own curious version....!

    So....

Today's jobs: some of the kitchen jobs (and a few of my own)

    Sweep and mop the floor
    Clear and wipe worksurfaces
    Shine the sink
Hang up the washing and clear the airing cupboard
    Empty dishwasher
    Make spare ribs
Wipe fronts of appliances and units, and the bins
Wipe table and replace cloth if needed
    Wash the windows

1 hour gardening: weeding the front border and pruning and planting bulbs

    Albatross List for the week:
    * Piano tuner - arrange (he talks for ages and ages :o)
    * Check Websaver gas rates are still OK for us
    * School Gift Wrap order - [STRIKE]means going through the wrapping paper drawer...[/STRIKE] looked through the drawer, but need to place order now...
    * Autoglass chip-mending for car windscreen?
[STRIKE]* Write difficult letter to D.L. and post it[/STRIKE] :o
    * Savings with DH - ours; DD's (means dealing with the Halifax ) - both on their way, but not as easy as all that (of course)
[STRIKE]* Do my income tax form on-line [/STRIKE] YAY!!!!!!!
[STRIKE]* Orchestra form to take next week (before they throw DD out![/STRIKE]:o)
    * Finally sort out Broadband connection - have yelled lots at BT for all the missed appointments; have managed eventually to get an engineer; have got a new HomeHub for free and have got £20 from them for the missed apptments. :T Now just have to install the new HomeHub when it arrives, and hope it works.....
    * Copy DD's music recordings for relatives (recorded August... and promised then :o)
    * Finances for Sept; budget for Oct

    Oh heck!

Best get going - 10:15am - 11:15am blitz, anyone (or any part thereof!?!)

Join me if you see me fly past....

    MissH

    Morning all

Starting the day with some paperwork/phone calls and then I'm starting with a good hoovering session downstairs as I find that instantly makes the place look better!

Wilf - well done to your DS. I am sure he is a member of a golf club so surely they can help for the kudos? A young golfer my son knows in the U19 England team seems to have sponsorship from loads of the top golfing brands. Do the Team England not give advice? I would imagine you would need to be really, really careful about this as you certainly would not want to tie him into a deal at this time which could be difficult to get out of if he makes it big in a few years.

Kitchen, back hall, cloakroom are back to clean - I will just need to empty the oven bits out of the DW later.

Need to start on the Dining Room of Doom but I Don't Want To

    Morning all!

Off work today with a PMT related migraine - had it all weekend & was still throbbing this morning, so decided to stay in bed. It's easing now, so i'm squinting at the screen!

wilf - many congrats to your DS. Good luck with raising the funds. Is there a local table-top or car-boot sale? You could tell a local paper/radio that you are doing this & put up large signs on your stall to say where proceeds are going.

    Hi all

I'm in again this week - I did some flying last week, but not as much as I wanted due to the dreaded lurgy. Anyway, much better now and ready to tackle today's list.

In addition, my extras for this week are as follows:

Garden - half-hour each day doing something. It's a mess out there!
Finish stripping the living room walls.
    Run Monday/Tuesday/Thursday
Knit 1hr each day (too many things on the needles!).
Make fancy dress costume for DD's 'come as your favourite book character' day at school. At least we had ample warning this time. Once we had a letter home the day before a costume was needed  (and, no, it hadn't been lost at the bottom of the bag...it was dated the day before...).

Thanks again Flylady command central for keeping me on the straight and narrow.

    Have a good day...

Good Morning! Lovely and sunny but cold here today. Must must must get a glazier up to sort our hall window! In fact, going to phone one now.
Don't know why but MSE forums seem really laggy today. Had to try to post three or four times. Anyone else having problems? Don't think it's my computer as all my other sites seem ok......
    Procrastination over. Off to fly.
Morning sockdrawer - no, not your 'puter, I had problems even getting the log-in page to load.

Still no sign of roofer :(

This is my nemesis as well! Perhaps we should make a pact to sort them once and for all ;)

First part is to clear the ironing pile. I have been naughty and let it grow too much these last few weeks. So going to get rid of that and declutter some TV and a coffee at the same time.
