For years I have hated tea pots (thought they were old fashioned) well I quite like them now and have been hankering after a pretty one for us to use. Didn't want to pay a lot as that wouldn't be old style, so yesterday I spotted a lovely tall one in cream with pretty blue flowers on in the charity shop for £1.50:T I snapped it up and am now the proud owner at age 38 of a tea pot, which I know is saving us money on tea bags already:T
So am I proper old style now?>grocery challenge Sept 2012 £21/£3990 -
Happy Birthday to your son JackieG.
Its still torrential rain here and I have SERIOUS cabin fever!!!!Mum, wife and dinnerlady!0 -
Morning folks, another awful day here too. W/M on, D/W on, T/d on. Have been really busy this morning, I have made a lovely big pot of chicken and rice soup, using the carcass of the roast chicken we had last night, it has to be the best I have ever made! I am so chuffed! The breadmaker has just beeped too so we will be having HM bread with it. I have also made a large 12"x18" tray of chocolate brownies, and also one the same size of lemon drizzle - these will be cut up very soon and some frozen for later in the week. Tea is all prepared as we are having pork casserole so its in the S/C, veg all done. I have done a lot of planning this morning, right down to a list that I will check every month before I place my monthly shopping order so we start off each month with a full store cupboard. I have the months meal planning done - more on a weekly basis we will have x,y,z and will sort out the days we have whatever nearer the time. This way it will save me any extra trips to Mr T's.
Just got the ironing to do, but I dont really mind when the rain is pouring, it makes it quite cosy!
Hugs to everyone needing one,

Well done! As a rule I dont drink tea often, but we have started having a 'proper' tea on a Sunday, with the table set, good china out and home baking for afters from the cake stand and I have got to say I love tea from the teapot!!!! Its a really old one - think it is a Sona make with the teak handle and belonged to my husbands gran, so it must be about 30 years old. Sunday tea is the highlight of the week now, where everyone sits down together and have a proper conversation rather than grab and run!!Every days a School day!0
