You however have so far promoted 5" deep memory foam mattresses, and Sleepeezeee, which is a very good indication that the advice you give is very poor.
I did not promote a 5" Memory foam mattress, but merely stated that they is no need for mattresses to be as deep as they are.
Sleepeezee do make some wonderful products, and like most companies they can also make some not so good products. I say one just one suppiler and that warrents poor advice? Don't think so some how.
You are just miffed that there is someone else on this website that knows about beds and mattresses.
Tim you website is full of non branded products so very little price comparison can be done. However looking at the prices your margains are the same as most retail shops!
My advice is not poor, unlike your ethics. You say that rolled up mattresses are poor quailty yet you sell them? If you do not believe in the product then why sell it?
All you seem to push is a double sided memory foam mattress, oh and if you google such a thing......hhhhmmmm let me see where do you land. But Tim Deegans online shop.
You say about false sales from the big boys....yet you advertise up to 75% the RRP on the side of your van! Slightly two faced.Helping the country to sleep better....ZZZzzzzzzz0 -

Well that's an example of of a lack of knowledge about mattresses.....and you sell them.Pinkypants wrote: »Sleepeezee do make some wonderful products, and like most companies they can also make some not so good products. Well anyone who knows anything about the bed industry knows that Sleepeezee are low to middle as far as quality goes. And they would also know that the quality of the big brands has dropped in recent years as they have automated production, and cut production costs.Pinkypants wrote: »You are just miffed that there is someone else on this website that knows about beds and mattresses.
I would welcome someone who did know about them, but you have clearly demonstrated a lack of knowledge.Pinkypants wrote: »Tim you website is full of non branded products so very little price comparison can be done. However looking at the prices your margains are the same as most retail shops!
This is nothing to do with my web site, or my company, this is down to impartial advice. So please keep my business out of this.
You can easily compare mattresses on specification.Pinkypants wrote: »My advice is not poor, unlike your ethics. You say that rolled up mattresses are poor quailty yet you sell them? If you do not believe in the product then why sell it?
Like I said keep my business out of this.
All stores sell loads of products, but it doesn't mean that they recommend them.Pinkypants wrote: »All you seem to push is a double sided memory foam mattress, oh and if you google such a thing......hhhhmmmm let me see where do you land. But Tim Deegans online shop.
You are looking at this from completely the wrong angle :rotfl::rotfl:
Actually you will land on quite a few web sites.Pinkypants wrote: »You say about false sales from the big boys....yet you advertise up to 75% the RRP on the side of your van! Slightly two faced.
Which is 100% true, so why is it two faced????0 -
I too have been mattress researching for about two months now and I am no nearer buying a new mattress.
last December I bought a Silentnight bed £600, it felt ok after testing it in the shop, 3 months on I started to experience pain across my shoulder blades in the small hours and this keeps me awake until I get up. what I need is a replacement mattress but what one? I went to the high streets biggest bed seller (no names) and to be honest the salesman wanted to sell me mattresses which were over £1500 each, you get what you pay for say's he. I imagined 6 months down the line ££££££ could be wasted because it is not suitable, well that's no good to me or my dwindling savings."Imagination is more Important than knowledge"0 -

So its ok for you to say I have a lack of knowledge but when I turn the tables about your products and prices you don't like it.
If your where turely inderpent on here, you wouldn't use your real name that people can google and find your store.Helping the country to sleep better....ZZZzzzzzzz0 -
Just had a thought Tim, why is it ok for us all to comment on the big sheds, Dream, Bensons, etc..... But not your site?Helping the country to sleep better....ZZZzzzzzzz0

Thanks all for this thread, I narrowing down my requirements and honing in on what I think I want to buy. Rest assured (no pun intended lol) that whatever I get will be more comfortable than what I've got at the moment!
I didn't know that Sleepeeezeee were considered middle to lower standard. Are Slumberland a reputable make to consider? Is anyone able to throw any must haves or must avoids into the mix in terms of brands? I'm not sure who are considered big players or not.0 -
I would say Slumberland are reputable as are Sleepeezee, Rest Assured, Healthbed, Kaymed, Reylon, Millbrook, Sprung Slumber. Restus are pretty good value for money too.
I don't feel that you will get top end quality product for your 300 to 400 pound budget. Like shopping for a Rolls Royce when you only have BMW budget.
I'm sure other people will have differant ideas, that's what makes us human.
Go for a 1000 plus spring pocket and you will not go far wrong. Check length of guarantee for piece of mind.Helping the country to sleep better....ZZZzzzzzzz0 -
If you can't give a selection of sites are you permitted to say which brands rate highly or indeed models? I'm fairly open to anything as long as it's £300-£400 and kingsize. Would even consider seconds or shop soiled if it gets a good deal.
We bought a Millbrook 1400 Romance from Mattressman and it was the best thing we ever did. Heaven!

Someone may have said this already (sorry I haven't had chance to read the whole thread) but time 4 sleep (website online) are really good and have some good deals on mattresses. We got a Silent Night miracoil gold from there for £100. We've just seen the same mattress in B and Q at about 3 times the price. I know you don't like SN but there are other options available at a good price.
Time 4 sleep is based in the town we live so is well known with locals, hence why I had heard of it. We still ordered online rather than the showroom though as the offers were better
Plus if you go to the site via topcashback you can earn cashback on the purchase (I think its 5%) but its still a good return on an expensive item
Have a look a mattresses for next day delivery for best deals0 -

Thank you, will bear those makes in mind. When you've been used to a 3 wheeler Robin Reliant, a BMW will suit me just fine thanks
Thanks again all, very helpful posts. :T0
