Did you receive word through the post about your discharge?

London Gazette will list your bankruptcy but not discharge..could be handy to give them possibly

just pop your details into the site below

Hi, I think they have been told by the OR it wasn't listed?? not sure but will speak to the receivers tomorrow.

I must admit I haven't done a credit clean up, I am embarrassed to say I don't know about that at all.
I have seen my recent credit file and all was clear until I added an old address and this debt came up but I haven't had any letters from the original company I took the finance with.
There are 2 defaults relating to loans that were included in the bankruptcy as well.

The OR wouldnt tell them that...more likely they're trying it on to be honest

as we've said all debts from before your bankruptcy will be included if you remembered or not..anything you did AFTER bankruptcy would not.

Yes, I got a letter advising me and then I had to apply for my discharge certificate.
I have just found my details on the London Gazette site, that will be handy to add to my files - thanks

in that case then you have all the proof you need....send copies to them & politely tell them any further contact & you will be seeking legal advice against them

    Probably change:

I would point out that the account was included in my bankruptcy which commenced on <date>.

to something on the lines of.

I would point out that the account is covered by my bankruptcy which commenced on <date> and was subsequently discharged on <date>.

Great, do you think they are just trying their luck it is almost 6 years since my discharge ? (or does that have no relevance?)
The loan agreement was started pre-bankruptcy so it must be included but they are insistant that it isn't.

Don't think for a minute that I doubt anything you guys have told me, I am overwhelmed by your advice - I just want to work out why they are adopting these tactics when they don't have a chance of collecting the debt

Problem is...large company sell on debts (even knbowing your bankrupt!) for as little as 1p in the pound to DCAs, now one DCA will see your bankruptcy then sell on again & again & again in the hope that 1 in 500 cases will (if they push hard enough) say "oh we owe you £XXX thats fine we'll pay up"

They are talking complete and utter !!!!!!!!
