According to "direct" all extra points (2 inks for 500) will be added before the next statement. (we will see)

As for yesterdays"new" deal ...1 ink for 500 points; that now doesn't exist, this is typical dodgy tesco practice, they put on a great deal, people buy into it and then they retract it, I may be wrong but isn't this more or less a con.

Hi Mimi remember you from old Boots thread xxx
Best thing to do is contact Consumer Direct as lots of people have done, they are passing it over to Trading Standards.

I suggest writing a strong letter to Clubcard asking when the points will awarded - there is an email form on tesco.com in the Clubcard section.

If that draws the expected weak response from Customer Services, next stage would be writing to the CEO or similar, perhaps head of Customer Services first since surely they can see Tesco would be acting fraudulently by offering to treat under agreed conditions, accepting patyment and delivering, then subsequently changing the terms.

My order was marked online as 'dispatched' on Sunday evening and the terms were not changed online until after that.

Dont know whether Ive got it in me to fight Tesco over this. Been there before. May just take back to nearest store (about 15 miles away) at cost to me. Im guessing they will take back any points from them if I do this. I bought a black ink and a twin pack colour. I think they may have added 500 as my account is showing 550 and i havent bought much else. Thanks in advance

I don't need a screen shot, the points are detailed in the order confirmation.

And there are plenty of posts here and on HKUD showing people were still ordering on the 500 point for one ink cartridge until Tuesday - after my order was delivered (and paid for).

    I suggest everybody gets onto Conumer Direct 08454 04 05 06.

They told me that Tesco do not have a leg to stand on: they made an offer to treat and entered into a binding contract by accepting payment and delivering the goods. They cannot subsequently change the terms/ inducements (ie Clubcard points on offer).

Please phone them yourself - takes 5 minutes. They will automatically contact Trading Standards whose job it is to stop shady practices such as this.

Landline number for consumer direct can be obtained from saynoto0844 site. Many different numbers depending on which area of the country you are in. HTH
