Fab makes cheekycat1 - love the cupcake flannels, and the pegs look brilliant.

Just finished my first pack of reindeer poop - will take a picture tomorrow. This bag is going to be mine and I'll try to make it stay sealed until christmas!
2016 is the year I am going to find time for me, and cherish the time I spend with my friends and family.
It is also time to save - Aim £4,000 - So far this year - £230/£4,000

    They look great :T

Can I ask where you bought the cases please?

Try Baking Frenzy on ebay, they are in Malaysia and lots of MSE'ers use them.

See you have had a fair few replies. You have linked to a butterfly punch on ebay which will come in @ £3 there abouts once bought. Hobbycraft have the 3 butterfly Martha Stewart punch for £11.99 which although MUCH dearer, has 3 butterflys of different sizes ANMD it is a goos quality punch so you can expect it to get you through a batch of wedding stationary no problem.
Should it let you down you can take it back to Hobbycraft for an exchange.
I'd plumb for the MS punch. I have a single butterfly & it really is lovely.

    .

thank you hogshead, will have alook in hobbycraft during the week, and see if i can find in.

Just to let people know, Paperchase have got their christmas stock in now and I got a few goodies today.

    I love this!:

Mini glass baubles. They look so lovely and christmassy in the box, I don't want to ever take them out! :rotfl: (£10)

I also got some mini stars:

..which come with silver string to hang them onto. (£2)

and some of this years xmas stickers. They also had some brown ones but I wasn't so keen on those:

Just £1, each sticker is diddy! Very cute though.

Regarding the large clear glass baubles, they had some individual ones in our branch, but they already had words written on them, such as 'Peace' (I think).

Whilst I'm on the subject of spending, (soap box time!:D) could I remind people on here, that you don't have to have a die cutting machine to make these fab creations, as Helen has already (fabulously) demonstrated.

To make the sweets & chocolate packs you could get xmas/monkey/halloween, etc. images from Google, which would cut the costs even further. :money: You also don't need the bag sealer either, just use self-seal bags, cheap double sided tape or staples (if the contents are already in packets).

Hope you don't mind me saying this, :o but I'm trying to think of your purses, especially with the horrendous cost of Christmas coming up...

    (I'll get me coat)
I don't want to make money, I just want to be wonderful

Wow lots of fab makes on here :T:T especially love the Cupcake flannels :D

OK so I was having a play around with some more cards last night (some were a TOTAL disaster :() Anyway these one's I think are acceptable and work on a similar theme to one I made already (actually that's included I've coloured it a bit more though). They were really quick to make :T

5104307402_fc8083f1b7_m.jpg Sorry bought this one the flash kept going off grrrrr

Now I don't think the pics quite do them justice (and please ignore the paperclips they're NOT included LOL!).
Big question do you think they are good enough to sell. If so how much do you think is a reasonable charge? Sell as a single card or say a pack of 4 or 5?

Have found a supplier for Flyingpigs fabulous bare tree but with postage it's going to cost me circa £9. I also am going to have to get a new paper strimmer. I am spending a small fortune and it's not even on a die cutter LOL!
Oh before I forget Tesco have 3 for 3 on their craft stuff. Not a great selection but I bought some A5 mirror card, some red and green glitter card (VERY glittery and smells a bit chemical ) a wheel of Anita's Gems and some packs of 3D bauble stickers :D

  • Thank you Quiksave I agree ....

I would HATE to think I would put anyone off the joys of crafting by bathering on about fancy equipment ..... which is very lovely for the serious crafter, but can be off putting and confusing to the beginner.

That is why I did the sweetie bag and mini advent calendar tutorials - to show that you can make fantastic things with very simple stuff. And I am thrilled that so many of us have posted our pictures of the sweetie bags we've made.

Hopefully over the weeks up to Christmas I and others can share lots more cheap, simple ideas xxxx

I have heard that Sainsburys have tubes of Taste the Difference discs for £1.49 for 22 chocs wrapped in purple ...... heads off

im still working on my rafaelo one, kind of pushed it to the side so i could do my xmas items
how did u do the lolly one? and what sort of prices would u charge for them, just out of interest :)

    look fab though :T
The lolly one I use pipe cleaners to wrap around the lolly stick and selotape around, then I bunch them all together and wrapped some selotape around again. Then it is just some card and cello and done. I am charging £15 for the chocolate one and £5 for the lolly one.
