Managed to our little sweet shop this afternoon and get all the stuff for DIY snowman..........marshmallows, choc.raisins, sort of bendy strawberry flavoured thing for a scarf (not licourice) flying saucers for hat. Popped them into a cellophane bag with the choc.matchsticks and now its all in a gravy tub I covered with snowman paper.
Good idea that.0 -

I know it aint the best but I cant afford a new die machine just yet, but I picked up this for £5 at my local car boot; along with 6 dies and carry case. So there are some bargains out there0 -

Loving everyone ideas thanks so much for sharing. Your bags are fab Rusty and I really like those stickers too.
I thought I'd share my Halloween sweetie bags that I've just made. They are fairly basic but lucky had some spooky sweets at home which I think make them look ok.For thousands of people this Christmas, their must-have gift is far more vital than the latest gadget or toy – it’s blood. Please don’t let the festivities and cold weather prevent you from giving them the ultimate gift… give blood.0 -

OOOOOhhhh i had one of those but red about 5 or 6 years ago. I had hundreds of dies too but got rid of the lot as i had no time to craft when my baby grandaughter was given to me . My husband was pleased though i sold all my craft stuff and raised 3 grand on e bay so i gave it to him to buy us a people carrier. lol.
I do miss the dies sometimes.Cross Stitch Challenge Member Number 20

Just finished working my way through this whole thread (thanks Tamster120...I think!!!) - oh my...soooo many ideas. I had thought I wouldn't have any time to make some stuff to sell for this Christmas, ...but looks like I might have to have a go!!!!
I have always made things, but usually knitted or sewn (machine, hand and x-stitch)...and long ago lace. I am knitting socks/beanies and gloves for Xmas pressies as well as doing quite a lot of cross stitch, which is eating up my time (apart from this thread this afternoon!!). however, I am going to investigate if I can get a stall at the local school Xmas fair...and perhaps even the playgroup one...they are both in December...so I have some time to make up some of the sweet bags...and other stuff!
I must admit, I had never come across these die-cutter/embossers before, - very dangerous!!! I have bookmarked sooo many pages....must go and sort them out a bit...but not tonight!
Thanks again everyone for all your wonderful ideas...especially to Flyingpig who started this thread...only a few weeks ago!!!!!
Will return tomorrow or at the weekend with some of my ideas/makes...if I get that far!
