  • These are amazing, unfortunately I'm not very creative when it comes to crafting (I think I am but my creations turn out a little horrendous). Looking at the steps on your blog though, some of them are simpler than they look!

    Thanks :)
    Thank you competition posters!
  • does anybody know if you can buy the scalloped circles
and middles for the little jars ?
    thanks x
  • Thanks for that pointofnoreturn. I think I might prefer to hand sew.

Well done on today's fair - and what's Folksy? Excuse my ignorance but I'm quite new on here!

Folksy is an online community where you can buy and sell handcrafted items - it is like the UK version of Etsy.

I'm a long time lurker of this thread so thought I better say something!

I've made TONS of items for craft fairs, only to find no where will accept me this late. Actually, one place will but the stall is £95 and can't have jewellery, which is most of my stock. So with my thinking cap on and having spent lots of money on materials, I decided to do bootsales. I also run a jewellery website so I've priced up my items to more than half the price on the site and set off on Saturday morning and sold.......

1 Yappy Christmas dog treats!!! Seriously. One thing.

I had a much better boot sale planned for today, but we'd have to leave at 5.30. It's more the demographic that would be interested in these products (yesterday was mostly farmers lol) and as you can see it is 3.30am. The problem? I'm stuck babysitting! I was told it would be until 10pm and I'm still waiting for the parent to return home. I live an hour away so they've got 1 hour to get home or I won't be able to do the stall and I won't make any money. Needless to say I am fuming right now  I really need that money and the weather forecasts for the next few weeks suggest this will be my only chance.
    I like to make money
Best wins: £3,000 luxury holiday, holiday in Cornwall, £250 Murad Skincare hamper, angle grinder

:j Make £10 a day challenger - it pays for trips to Florida! :j
  • Emmaglet - that's outrageous!!!! I hope you won't be agreeing to any more babysitting for them. That really is taking a liberty!! Hioe you made it to the boot sale and sold loads of goodies
It's easier to get forgiveness than to ask permission ;)

OMG that is awful. Did the parents show up eventually? Was everything okay?

Anyone who is looking for a craft fayre to sell at (prob a bit late for Christmas ones) have you checked netmums? It has local noticeboards for things like that so you can check you local one for table top sales, craft fayres etc. I use it for other things, but noticed that there are loads near me advertised on there that I'd not seen advertised anywhere else.

You might find some on ebay although might be cheaper just buying the punches if you are planning on making quite a few.
