Bitsy - thanks. We've got dogwood, twisted willow, rowan, buddlehia...........few other ones I don't know what they are..............lol I'll have a forage (providing it doesnt snow......)

I'll have to venture out there anyway to get a reasonable size twig (but thicker than last years) to do my 'twig tree;..........normally stand it on the dresser with dried chillies and pine cones on it but last year I used dogwood and the 'branches' started to bend..........:) - live and learn............lol
I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

thank you for all the comments about my makes

well done to everyone who has done craft fairs:T

ponr I used chocolate balls from Tesco (as recommended by mummyslittleboy)

nicola00 I used nesties and my cuttlebug to make the toppers. I have sent you a pm

You could use vimto bon bons for the reindeer noses to, as the ones from tesco can work out quite expensive so I used the tesco ones for my children and bon bons to sell your makes look lovely hun.

  • Here is one of my magic reindeer food bags. I wanted to make a fabric bag instead of a cellophane one to make it a bit prettier.
What do you think? I've made a few now, I hope they sell well at the Christmas market this weekend :j

I don't believe in the concept of hell, but if I did I would think of it as filled with people who were cruel to animals.

I know this isn't Christmassy as such, bUt they could make nice gifts.
Not sure if they have been done on another forum (probably). But I like the idea of using coasters for calendars, that some of you have made.
I was out today and there was a small stationary stall at our local coffee morning and they had some of the plaques that have funny sayings on.
Inspiration hit me and I thought of this.

Not stuck down so I would do more layering with it and put some magnetic strips on the back and maybe try some modge podge to seal it.

    :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Brilliant!!! :T

This is lovely! Did you draw or sew the reindeer onto the fabric? Looks really good. Im better at sewing that crafting (not for the want of trying!) so this appeals to me!
  • Pootle, it is drawn on. I was going to sew it but ran out of time. It would look fab machine embroidered on but I haven't mastered that yet. Appliqu! would look nice as well.

  • They're brilliant mollymunchkin!

Can anyone help? Pretty please?!! I want to do Snowman Poop for our Christmas Fayre at preschool but the only poems I've found talk about the children having been naughty. That's not a message I want to give so does anyone have any ideas for a more suitable rhyme? I've tried searching the threads but no joy without going through them systematically, & I don't really have the time because of work!

Here is an alternative poem for snowman poop-

In the cold of winter when snow arrives,
The snowmen dance and feel alive.
If you follow in their tracks,
You'll find little droppings from their cracks :o
Round and white, so sweet and light,
Eat one or two for sweet dreams tonight!

Not so sure myself tho.........Maybe someone can re-work it:T
