My "twig" star, I think has a whiff of the Blair Witch Project about it :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I know this isn't Christmassy as such, bUt they could make nice gifts.
Not sure if they have been done on another forum (probably). But I like the idea of using coasters for calendars, that some of you have made.
I was out today and there was a small stationary stall at our local coffee morning and they had some of the plaques that have funny sayings on.
Inspiration hit me and I thought of this.

Not stuck down so I would do more layering with it and put some magnetic strips on the back and maybe try some modge podge to seal it.

    bunbun - brilliant stuff you've made :T

Bitsy - love the star............just the sort of rustic type thing I like.........might have to forage in the garden and see if the trees have got suitable twigs.

geniek - what a brilliant idea..........hadn't thought of something like that ........been doing coaster calendars/post it notes..............got a few coasters spare from kind landlord.......might have a go at that

Spent today doing kitchen organisers out of my old placemats. One lot of paper I got had a lovely reverse pattern so I covered the place mat with one side and the shopping list/calendar/'post it notes with the other. Added a peg I covered to hold the pen and had enough paper left over to cover a notebook/journal. On second one now but thought I'd better let OH see the kitchen table when he came in from work...........lol So, thats tomorrows job............:)
I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

The thinner the better. I had some thicker ones and they really were rubbish. I used thin silver wire (left over from my wedding invites a mere 6 years ago) which was far better than thread.
Showed it to H who paused and said it looked a bit Wicca :o And then oh yeah the Blair Witch Project :rotfl: I shan't be trying to flog these it's just for a bit of fun at home ;)

PS. Hope I haven't offended anyone of the Wicca faith :o

  • I am just labeling all my makes ready for a fair on Saturday.

Can anyone tell me whether I need to list all the ingredients on the packaging, or whether I can just put any allergy warnings and best before dates?

Here are a few of my makes!
