Hi kimbo frog, [sorry if I got that wrong, 2 pages back !] yes it was! Thanks for posting the picture! I think you can see how easy that shape is to adapt once you have the template.0

They had boxes of individually wrapped teabags in lots of different flavours in my local TK MAxx store today I think 20 for around £2.00 if anybody is making the tea bag cards.
Have finally gotton to the end of the thread it has taken me a couple of weeks! Other than craft with the kids never attempted anything 'grownup' but have bought three jars from asda and filled with sweets for the childlike men in the family just need some card to label with now - well chuffed cost around £4 including the jar and I've seen smaller ones in shops for £8+ so thanks for the inspiration.Trying to be money neutral for christmas0 -

I'm currently knitting the littlies of my family advent stockings. Was originally going to be doing 25 each and it's now been reduced to 12 each
Would just like to say that everyone who has posted something on this thread are AMAZING!! All the ideas are fabulous and I can't wait to get trying. I've also started following most of the blogs mentioned
I've got all the things I need for snowman soup and reindeer poop (well I did have until I ate the raisins!:o) and I plan on making;- a jar of nothing

Hi everyone.
I have been reading this thread religiously since FlyingPig started it - my boyfriend thinks I'm insane!
Anyway, decided I needed to register as he has finally persuaded me to stop reading and start crafting!
I have my first Christmas fair on Saturday and I am SO scared. I was just wondering if you lovely people had any tips,
i.e. what sells best? and how to transport things safely?
Also, I have quite a bit of expensive makeup - how can I display it without leaving it out for potential thieves!?
Sorry for all the questions, I promise to post lots of pics to make up for it when I can

hi everyone,
I have an idea to make my christmas cards but i need a little bit of help..and I thought of you :T
My idea is to make a "little christmas wish".
so far, I have the idea if making a small envelope and sticking it to a A5 (maybe) card.
What I need is a poem - I am utterly useless at this and something to put in the envelope to act as the wish?
I thought of something that will fly/float away or something that will burn (my original thought was a chinese lantern but they are way to big and I can't find anything in a smaller scale.
So far for my poem I have got:
I made this christmas wish for you...:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Thats it!! Told you I was useless
Help! I'm stuck
How about Ameretti Biscuit wrapper?
They burn green and float!
Search " Flaming Ameretti Biscuit Wrapper" in Google.

Hi CheapandCheerful
How about only putting one or two in front and leaving the main bulk in a box behind you?Sealed Pot Challenge Member 1216 -

 Welcome to mse and also to CraftyBailey, well done on registering and coming out of the shadows.
Regarding what sells, there are no guarantees of what will actually sell on the day. It can depend on so many factors like how many people attend the event, where you are placed, whether the 'right' type of people come in, whether they are crafters (I must admit I go to craft fayres to see what other crafters are selling), lots of factors to take into account. People on here have some figures if you want to take a look.
As for expensive make up. how about keeping it in a clear plastic box with a lid on and tied with ribbon? Also, keep it next to where you are standing.
Hope that helps (HTH), qwiksaveI don't want to make money, I just want to be wonderfulMarilyn Monroe0 -
I have done a few craft fairs now selling my fabric items which I've sewn. To make your stall look inviting take some baskets to put smaller things in, price up everything and don't forget bags and change too. They say that stalls need height and light; so you could use some upturned boxes with a table cloth over to create some height and fairy lights for some sparkle. Some events will charge extra if you want to use a plug so I've bought some little LED battery operated fairy lights from the 99p shop.
If you don't have a table cloth which is suitable you could use a sheet to cover the table.
Hope you find that useful. Good luck to everyone with upcoming fairs. I've got a 2 day Christmas market coming up and I'm dead nervous. I've no idea if I've got enough stock or if I'll have loads left. This time I've expanded the range slightly and added in some snowman soups, reindeer poop, etc. If they don't sell, no worries I'll just eat itCos I don't shine if you don't shine.0
