I picked these up yesterday while in Home Bargains but noticed they also have them in B&M too.
They were 39p per pack and are milkshake straws. I've never had them myself but you dip them in a glass of milk and suck so the beads melt to make a milkshake drink?
Thought they might be good to make 'fairy' wands or such like with?
Snap, I bought some of them (chocolate ones too) a few weeks ago and keep looking at them waiting for a flash of inspiration :rotfl:It's easier to get forgiveness than to ask permission0 -
I thought I would share these I made yesterday:
The first one is the Snowman Soup mugs. The mugs were 59p or 2 for £1 in B&M but I could only get 1 of the snowman design. They have a robin, reindeer and santa design too.
The second one is Snowman Soup beakers. The beakers are a hard plastic (melamine?) and are packed 4 in a pack from Poundland. Great value as they work out at 25p per beaker.
Hope I've brought things back on track with a few makes!0 -
Brilliant thankyou for your teacher gift idea,i make lots of different things myself but putting them in cello bags sounds great along with the rest of the gifts that Helen has shared
Excellent ideas on here, loving all the craftiness and inspirational ideas:T
Very silly question, where's the best place to get the cellophane sweetie bags?
Many thanks.

I run a mums and tots group and the majority of those that come only bring their entrance fee. I tend not to take my purse anywhere unless I am specifically going shopping - stops me making impulse purchases
Must just be where I go then because the mums all have their hand bags and purses with them - perhaps they're stopping off on their way to retail therapy :rotfl::rotfl:I thought I would share these I made yesterday:

Economy; careful management; providence. Whether you call it thrifty or frugality it all comes down to getting more for your money.0 -

Craft shops sell them to put handmade cards in - you can also get some from 'The Works' if you have one.I don't want to make money, I just want to be wonderfulMarilyn Monroe0 -
dizzytina: Fab makes! Where did you get your weeny kilner jars from (...that's if they are the mini ones?). Were they from B&M - I recall seeing similar ones in ours a few weeks back.[/QUOTE]

Well last night i ended up doing my first christmas craft fair at the very last minute. I had asked if there were any stalls available for the fair a few weeks ago and had been told that they were fully booked however they would put me on the reserve list. They rang me an hour and a half before it was starting and asked if i could do it as someone had dropped out at the last minute:eek:. I then had to grab all my stuff pack my car and set off. I didn't know where i was going and i put the wrong postcode into the sat nav!!. I needed petrol but knew i had enough to get me to my destination (or so i thought till i got there and realised i was at the wrong place!) I ended up getting there 10 minutes before it was due to start with 1mile of petrol left and very stressed!!. Anyway once i calmed down i was ok and this is what is sold.- Fabric hat choc snowmen£1 each x 6
- plain choc snowman in cello bag 50p x 7 (all i had taken)
- doggy treat bags 75p each x 4 (all i had taken)
- Fabric name plaques (to order) £7.50 x 2
- Bag of jelly tree sweets £1 x 1
- Cookie cutter x 2
- ES mint decorations pk of 3 £1 x 4
- Snowman soup £1.50 x 4
V 12500 B 8300 N 1900 Oct £51/£1550 -
This is the mug wrapped in cello wrap. They are really nice mugs; outstanding quality for 50p too, as they are not like some 'cheap' mugs and they have a real nice glossy feel.0
