  • Oh my god... how on earth do you get the snowman soup looking so good, I have just made one, choc powder all down the insides... put the marshmallows in and it looks like its been rolled in dirt.... yikes!

Did you put the choc in a seperate cone? I use 2 cones. Put choc in one, then tie top, push inside another and then add the choc chips and then the marshmallows. Will take a picture tomorrow of mine,

That looks great - well done.

I've been doing peg fridge magnets all evening and then tested on out and it slid abit on the fridge when I clipped paper into it. I put magnetic strip at the top and bottom now to make it hold better. The first lot I made have already been packaged so just hope they were stronger as I used a different magnet on those.

I have been working on this idea for a couple of days and wasn't really sure about the packaging but I think it looks ok. The poem is my own creation so if you think its naff..... tough... lol.... Its short and sweet and fits the labels :) The Glowsticks are from Poundland and you get 25 per tube, I have added a piece of card to the pretzel bag just to give a bit of strength and support to the glow sticks. The labels are cut with nesties and the fairy is clip art resized to fit the smallest nestie (about 1.5 inches)

These are fab - I actually bought a glow stick wand for my daughter from Home Bargains for 59p the other day & after seeing this, my brain is now ticking. They were with the greetings cards in our store, and basically are a long and quite chunky glowstick and a hollow glittery star that slots over the end.

The one I picked up was pink (but didn't say on the packet!) so I as pleased when I opened it. It measures approx 28cm long.

Would be ideal for making these!

Dizzytina - Your makes are lovely well done :T
    Lil_p - loving the gingerbread men :T
Bitsy - well done on your sales, I had some myself today, and I totally agree re the ES mints, I am not making any more until I see if the ones I have sell, going to try them individually as tree decorations the same as you. Here is what I have taken orders for, I can cover most but have to make up some more reindeer boxes and snowman soup cones (they sold better than the bags even though they were 50p more expensive. My childminder asked if she could keep my box of samples to take to the Thursday toddlers and someone in my work wants to take a sample box home to his wife so she can buy some :D I am really pleased, I never thought I would sell any of it :D:D. Here is what I have orders for :-

    Magic Reindeer Food x 5 @ £1
    Snowman Soup (Cones) 7 @ £1.50(only made 6)
    Snowman Soup (Bag) x 1 @ £1
    Bah Humbugs x 5 @ £1
    CDM Miniatures x 3 @ £1.50
    Penguin Poop x 1 @ £1
    ES Mints x 3 (bags of 4) @ £1.50
    Snowman Poop x 1 @ £1
    Snow balls x 2 @ £1
    Reindeer Boxes x 6 @ £1
Chocolate Snowman x 4 (only made one as a trial so better get some done!) @ 50p

I was very pleased at this!!

I am seriously thinking of asking the family to all chip in and get me a die-cutter, I would like one that does the boxes as I make my own fudge, tablet etc and would like something to hold these as well as doing labels etc, I really am clueless and I don't even know if there is such a beast on the market, I am planning to do wedding favours next year as well as I done them as well as all the balloons for my sisters wedding and really loved doing it (maybe it was the praise I got that I loved :rotfl:)

Any advice? I don't mind having to put money to it if the family are all willing to chip in together with hubby :D
