Flourgirl love the glowstick idea might have to borrow that i do one for my little girl if you don't mind.
Lilip love the gingerbread man i keep meaning to do some of those. Did you make the label yourself?
Wooky you have been busy fab calendars and choccie bags.
Bitsy i'm crossing my fingers and toes for you let us know how you go on
This is what i made last night. My hubby made up the poem as i wasn't sure if there was one in circulation already and didn't have time to sift through all the threads. i did the label on... yes you guessed it picnik although you could easily do it on word or publisher.
I have made it double sided with the contents sandwiched between the two sheets.
This is what i put in.V 12500 B 8300 N 1900 Oct £51/£1550 -
Thanks! Would a Sharpie be ok to do the writing or do I need to buy a paint pen or something? Wasn't sure if a Sharpie would "bleed"
Not sure on that one, I would have thought Sharpies would be OK. Maybe try a bit on the back in a bit that won't show?I don't want to make money, I just want to be wonderfulMarilyn Monroe0 -
Ok ladies (and any lurking gents
) here is my update.
I sold around 19 items and made approx £14.10 this morning. OK not a run away success and I am a looooooooong way off recouping what I've spent to do this. However looking at the positives it was my first ever time so it's a good learning experience.
I had to pay £4 to attend the session so bear in mind that will come out of any sales but since they run 2 sessions back to back they let me stay on for free for the second.
First session I arrived after everyone and you know what us Brits are like - too shy and retiring, no one likes to be first to have a nose :rotfl: I forgot to make a price list so that will be one of my jobs for this afternoon.
My best seller was dog biscuits :rotfl::rotfl: Clearly we love our pets more than we love our people as we are happy to spend some pennies on the poochies.
I sold the following:
Bah Humbug Cartons - 3
Snowman Soup - 1
Dog Biscuits - 5
Reindeer Food - 5
Friend Mints - 1
Xmas cards - 4
I didn't sell a single reindeer poop  which I am suprised at. Didn't sell my flannel reindeer or cupcakes but TBH they're not wrapped in cellophane so perhaps not looking the mst professional (but I only have so much time). ES Mints - not a bite. I might make some a tree decorations and see how they fare.
So I shan't be paying the mortgage off yet but Rome wasn't built in a day. I am going to the same play group (but in a different area) Thurs afternoon to have another go so will let you know how I get on. Am going to book a table at a table top sale and I think there are a couple of Christmas fairs running so will look into that.
Thanks for all the good wishes.I have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks

So many wonderful ideas!! I wondered if i could ask for some info and help please. Im making snowman soup and reindeer poop for the school fair. We have a small school with 100 children now how many of each do you think i should aim for making? Also what do people usually charge for these?
My final question is im really struggling to find a suitable snowman soup tag, one's ive printed online turn out huge, can anyone point me in the direction of something i can use. All sales go to the school x0 -
I have made this tonight (will be the first of many!).
I saw the idea on a thread somewhere, and have seen them across the likes of 'organized christmas', etc. I bought a box of 30 gingerbread men for 99p today and set to:
OMG!! Thats my poem :T:T:T:T I'd forgotten about that!

Well i'm back from 10 nice and sunny days in tenerife, and i've a lot of catching up to do.
I've had a quick run through some of the pages, will read proper later, but just a few questions
1 - where did you get the gingerbread men from?
2 - where can i buy magnets from, to put on the back of beer mats to make calendars.
You have all been busy and are making some lovely things for christmas.0 -
