I hadn't went to bed until 4am then mind was spinning thinking I wld forget something, alarm off at 6 so prob had 1.5 hours sleep so I stopped at Mr A, got bacon n sausages for hubby to make me after I went back to bed n woke up again :rotfl:

Not funny really but if I had not laughed I would have cried!!!

So I am now left with all this stuff, have emailed a few people as there are a few craft fairs on in the next few weeks!!

ETA:: Flyingpig just to say a MASSIVE thanks to you for starting the thread and all tutorials, I would never EVER have been able to do it on my own as I am the least craftiest person ever :rotfl:. x

Wow!!! your makes are fantastic!!!:T:T Well done!!
Shame about the car boot but at least your makes won't go off or spoil until you find an alternative venue.

loving all the new craft ideas thanks for sharing, going to be busy during the next 3 weeks.

would also like to say a very big thanks to craftygranny for going the extra mile in helping me with the toppers ect.

can i also just ask is normal wrapping paper ok to make the beer mat calenders? or is there a good seller on ebay, thinking cats and dogs thanks.

im not sure what others use but i used wrapping paper for some of mine and i bought some craft paper in poundland 12 different sheets for £1 and i got 2 calendars out of each sheet. tbh i think my wrapping paper was a bit thin but if you use a good quality wrapping paper i think it will be nice.

I work 8am - 4pm Monday - Friday so no chance of that but I am going to as my childminder if she would take in a sample of each item to the 2 toddler groups she goes to and arm her wiht order forms!! I have helped her a lot with her childminding stuff so I am sure she will help x I am so tired, I need sleep and I am also in the painting my daughters room . Night All x

Sounds like a good idea. I am showing my wares to my mindees parents and a couple want to order a few things. Am lucky as I don't look after any children except my DD Mon - Wed during school hours so I am free to do the rounds as it where.

Try your local library notice board and local papers. Both of mine are advertising Christmas Fairs so hopefully you'll find another outlet for your wares that way (assuming the websites you've been given don't turn up anything).

  • Ladsmadd Wrapping paper should be fine . Don't use a wet glue with it though or it will go horrid.

Oh no macpep1, what a nightmare! Have you tried looking on www.stallfinder.co.uk or http://www.craft-fair.co.uk/Diary.cfm?NextDate=0 No doubt there are more websites with craft fairs listed on them. Good luck finding a fair to off-load your stuff!

There is a craft fair on Saturdays & Sundays about half an hour away from me :j:TI have emailed to see if I can get a stall this Sunday, thanks so much for that :D

ETA: She just got back to me, its £45 for a stall, and I need to send 2 x pics, ID & proof of address & fill out an application form and all products must be handmade, is this the normal? Sweets are not handmade??

macpep1 - no this is not normal and it is expensive - I personally think £10 for a school fair for 3 hours is enough to charge and I won't pay more than this as it's not worth my while. The charge for your fair may be high because it is an organised Craft Fair rather than a school fair for which they may require your details for insurance purposes.

I'd contact all your local schools, look on supermarket notice boards and in local shop windows and in your local free newspaper for something cheaper as you have to basically take that out of any money you make that day and £45 would mean you might make nothing and might even run at a loss!
