I think embroidery thread would be perfect DMC or Anchor they are both the same. type in embroidery thread on ebay and it will come up with hun dreds. Its widely available at haberdashers and markets as well as craft shops.

I actually like the thread you used, makes it look rustic. But embroidery thread is also a good idea as you could experiment with different number of strands.
I was going to make a trio of these for DS, GF, DGS but how on earth will I fit "Charlotte" on it lol. I have been meaning to get a letter stamping kit so maybe that would be easier for me!

  • I also panic that nobody will buy my things! Just because I think they are lovely, doesn't mean everyone else will!

What has everyone found to be their best sellers?

A few more of the little boxes, I managed to finish them last night and get them wrapped. I have used a velvet ribbon to give a touch of luxury .

I am a serious worrier and always doubt that my things are 'that good', but my doubts were banished after a woman in work asked if she could order some of my Snowman and Reindeer poop jars just off the back of her having seen them on my Facebook page last year (...I had only made them for family).

It then spiralled into her asking what else I could do and I now have a display box in the kitchen at work with snowman & reindeer poop jars and bags, reindeer food and snowman soup, etc. The orders have literally been flying in. I have also set up a page on Facebook and lots of orders have come through that too.

For people to actually want my stuff, it's the biggest compliment of all.
  • It certainly is i feel like i'm going backwards even when i don't stop. lol
