To make these I used size C6 self seal bags from ebay 50 for £2 delivered.
The blue shiny card came from the works £1 I think for 5 shiny sheets in blue green gold and red x2
The snowman and reindeer came from gifttags from Matalan I think 20 for £1.50 got 5 snowman and 5 reindeer in plus pengiuns, santas I think.
Filling reindeer poop sweets was from Matalan £1.50 a bag of chocolate coated raisins peanuts caramels and filled 3 bags.
The snowman poop sweets are called snowbites I think and can be found in the supermarkets at £1 a pack and that just filled two bags.
So its worked out quite a bit but these are gifts and not for sale. I've been using my other card and bags to make reindeer food and Halloween treats.
I'm sure someone will come along with a more cheaper method of making them. For thousands of people this Christmas, their must-have gift is far more vital than the latest gadget or toy – it’s blood. Please don’t let the festivities and cold weather prevent you from giving them the ultimate gift… give blood.0 -
I was in HB yesterday and they had tubes (rectangular, not round) of M&M's but only the green and red ones. Was a limited edition thing. Thought they could be quite good for noses and poss a different take on rudolph has a cold?0

wow some lovely stuff here. have been reading for a little while now .
finally got around to making some of the ideas here, wil post pictures later.
Has anyone got any great ideas for using up some felt sheets and foam sheets please?
Thanks LLL0 -
Foam sheets can be cut into shapes letters and numbers and made into kits for young children to make pictures or make words or learn numbers/ alphabet. If used in the bath, they stick to the tiles whilst wet.Pucker up and kiss it Whoville! - The Grinch:kiss:0

Aldi have boxes of square individually gold wrapped chocolates "moser Roth" They come in caramel, milk or dark. Ideal for the pots of gold and/or the card covered tree decs that Ive seen on this thread. They are £2.99 per 100g box, not sure how many inside.
So many of you to mention, but everyone here is very inspiring and that in itself is uplifting.
Im very much a novice crafter and my brain thinks I can do a lot of it but my fingers have other ideas.
I love this thread. Well done everyone.Love, through the trees, past the sky, beyond the northern lights; and I won't let go. May your soul and spirt fly sweetheart x

You can get the self seal bags from the works for 99p for 50, sweets I get from £1 shop, I get my card from papermill its £4.99 for 65 sheets and you can choose the colours you want, embellishments they do have some in the works and if you have a B & M bargains or home bargains I believe others have got there's from there but as I dont I got mine from ebay and have used Anita's stickers on some of mine. Flyingpig has done a tutorial earlier in the thread on how to make them;)

I haven't been crafting for long at all so it shows that no matter what the level you are at you can do it just jump in and have a go:jmember of the thrifty gifty 2011 :j0
