Flourgirl - love the tic tacs:T
Wish I'd done mine like that now but my son was so tickled with the snowman one last year I've done one for him but used a button for the face and put a felt hat on it:rotfl:

Can't believe its taken me all day to make two cards :eek:Wanted them to be a bit 'special' for my two sons so I did them where you fold the card in three, cut a shape out on the front and put fabric behind it.I did a heart on one, tree on the other and found some silver beads to stick on the tree like decorations and a tiny button for the top.
Really should have done something a bit more 'substantial' off my list............still have notebooks to cover and diaries to get and cover, decorate plain scarf with buttons, and do another button heart shaped door/wall hanger..........the list just seems to go on and on...............:rotfl:
I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

    Prices
    I chage £1.50 for hand made cards (if i have special orders i charge 2.50 for C6 3.50 for A5 and £5.00 for A4 (A3 folded))
I sold my snowman soup at £1.00 and my poop (and all other sweetie bags) for 75p
I sell the ES mints in a pack of 4 for £1

Sorry being dense here :o is that £1.50 per card and then £3.50 for say a pack of 4?
Is it better to sell the cards singularly or in packs do you think? Or worth doing a bit of both??

  • Finally - I've started my crafting again!!!!

Today - I made 9 Christmas cards and used my new Cuttlebug. I've made these with a view to selling them at any fairs that I do. I'm quite pleased with them and enjoyed the extra things I could do with the Cuttlebug that I couldn't do before I had it!

I also punched lots of scalloped circles in a dark red card and some smaller circles in gold card and stuck them together, hopefully these will be for the Elizabeth Shaw tree decorations. Anyone seen any offer on the mints???

Pointofnoreturn - card is beautiful. well done. Re Liz Sahw mints best offer I could find was Sainsbury's 2 boxes (of dark mints) for £5. You could try here for best offers http://www.madaboutbargains.co.uk/offers/Off-Your-Trolley.htm

Actually just done a search on the website - according to them Tesco have them on BOGOF which works out to £1.77-ish pence. B*gger why do I always end up paying more :(

Someone was asking for a source of chocoate-covered raisins to make up bags of Reindeer Poo. Tescos have the 200g Galaxy bags for £1 atm (until 2nd Nov I think)...this works out at 50p for 100g...pretty good compared to other places. When I am well enough I am going to investigat our little sweetie shop to see if I can get a deal on a bulk order. :o

Thanks Keiss, I'll check them out :)

flyingpig58 - how much "poo" do you have in a bag? Just trying to work out how much to charge when I sell them at some Xmas fairs. 50g in a bag to sell @ 50p is my thought...but will think again when I feel better.

I too was wondering on prices so thanks for that - Im talking more school craft fair than anything else - funds to school not to me but still!!

I have made a bag of 70g go around 5 bags of poop - will try and sell it for 50p a bag but will then reduce if it's not selling - all the money is going to school though so we will pull on their heart strings to buy :D

Almond, Im sure there is a tutorial around here somewhere (might be bag toppers) that will help (using jam jar and lid to make the circles I think) I shall have a hunt for you.

Emma, I know how you feel ... I have been meaning to get on with some Christmas cards and other crafty bits, but have procrastinated all day long, what with the 2 month old baby human and the 4 month old kitten ...

*sigh* I shall attempt again tomorrow :(
