  • flourgirl - i LOVE your pudding chocs they look so professional!!

    I am starting christmas tomorrow!!
  • OK I bought about 6 bags of minature pegs with stars and santa's and I am not having a mental block about what to use them for :o
    Any suggestions??

Hi, not sure if this will help but I got some mini pegs with wooden santas and snowmen on them from B & M . I managed to pull them off the pegs and can now use them as embellishments to stick on the sweetie bags.

Suppose it depends on how many you would need. Maybe if you know someone with a cash and carry card it might be cheaper to buy a jar? I know poundland do bags but not sure what size they are. Can you buy a jar off the internet from a wholesale sweetshop? Off to google now :)

I went into town today and have managed to order some sweets from a man who has a sweetie cart in the middle of the precinct. I've ordered a few tubs 1.7 kg in weight for £10 - I think thats a good price but what doesn't sell at the Christmas Craft Fair, the family will be getting at Christmas! ;)

Do you know of any independent retailers like this near to you - they could also get them for you?

tranmere fabulous "POOP" I love your toppers, well done :)

I have made some little Tic Tac holders today, I will post them tomorrow when the light is better for the piccies.

Ooooh can't wait to see them - my dad doesn't go anywhere without his little box of tictacs. I even got him some for his Christmas hamper today!
  • Hi all

I found some "card wallets"? in the works. they are for putting handmade cards in. they are clear cellophane with a sticky top, i think they were 50 for 99p! so i bought LOADS!!!

today i made some candy cane mice and some humbug bags (not the card ones, just simple cellophane bags with a label). I found some dairy milk miniatures for £1.49 in martins after searching everywhere!!! its more than i wanted to pay, but at least i have them now!

i have done the opposite re the mini wooden pegs. i have bought some mini pegs and then glued on embellishments. i also bought some sparkly green twine stuff and plan to sell them as sets for putting up your cards with. i have used some paper cellar bits i found in hobby craft.

i also went to john lewis today and saw some bits i thought i could make (in the xmas bit). i have seen some nice decorations on folksy like simple felt robins and xmas puds. i thought i might make some and put them on the presents, for people to use as decorations next year.

i plan to make some cards, and have lots of bits i want to make, i have days where i definitely feel like i have been productive and days where i really dont!

Hi, I used ebay seller SSHOTSS. They do all kinds of personalised lables. They were selling a santa/reindeer one and i just asked them if they could put the reindeer food poem on :) They dont seem to have any items for sale at the minute.

But i did find.. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/CHRISTMAS-Reindeer-1a-PERSONALISED-sticky-LABELS-/350402794065?pt=UK_BOI_Packing_Postal_Supplies_Labels_LE&hash=item5195a25251 for the same price, you could email them and ask if the poem would fit on their stickers? x

thanks upsy-daisy, will ask seller if poem would work.
