my double points coupon was accepted but just on the normal points. I also had a £5 off electrical on £30+ spend and it worked on the hair straighteners i bought even though they were reduced to £24.99 from £49.99 so I was well pleased.

did your double points show up at the bottom of the receipt? mine just showed 2400 as i spent 100£. didn't show the other 800 (by my calculation) at all.. strange

oh, just checked, it says I qualified for double points but it doesn't look as if it applied it!
I spent £53.78 and it says points rec'd 224 so that should say 448?

I have to go back in as there was something wrong with one of my items so will ask instore because if it didn't apply it I should still be able to use it twice.

Off to bed now, think about it tomorrow.

Hello. I'm just reading this thread because I enjoy that kinda thing :p

I'm also wondering about the double points thing. Just to clear up any confusion, I think you're reading it wrong. I spent £51.
My receipt says in store points received 208 (this is the double points element.
    *CHRISTMAS EVENING* 1200

If there wasn't a Christmas shopping event and I had bought the same products with double points, I should have got 204 x 2 (408) but because it's calculated differently, it looks like:
1200 bonus Christmas points and then 208 (minus 1000 and you get the magic 408)

I'm sure someone can explain this better but I used the AC machine beforehand and my new total correlates with this information.

I think I see,so the 1200 points include the normal points you would receive on a £50 spend?

Yes that's right, similar with the 1,000 points, it was made up of 200 points on the £50 spend and 800 bonus points.

Thanks, i wondered when the next one was. My daughter wanted some Lacoste perfume and they had a box set £25 but I thought if I could get it with other bits to make up to £50 I would get another 1200 points plus the extra 500 from yesterday.still have my double points coupon as well.

I always need smellys & toiletries!
