    Morning All,
Crikey I made it onto the first page :)
Congratulations to Hester and the Minder :j
Well now the lappy is on it will probably be all downhill from here :D however, not got that much to do today having already done the kitchen, front room stairs and porch this morning. Ironing is up to date  and have 1 lot of bedding on the line and am just about to tip DS out of his bed so I can wash his. DP has gone to get DD1 a curtain pole for her room as at the moment she only has a blind which is not very heatsaving and also lets a lot of light in and I have finally unearthed the last pair of navy blue thermal lined curtains so they can go up today.
Got a copy of "The Takeaway Secret" this week and made DP a sausage and egg muffin this morning, he was very impressed so will try and tempt DS and his friend that stayed over out of bed with them.
Tonight we are going to try the lamb shish kebab, everything marinading nicely in fridge as I type am also going to do spicey chicken wings (once I've been to butchers) potato wedges, homemade coleslaw and sauces. Am soo looking forward to my fakeaway night.

Hugs and spoons to those in need x
    Best wishes to all x

Hi just poking my head in again

    Congrats Hester HSt257391801_3261.gif

Life just seems to be running away with time, heaven knows how I ever had time to work. Had a bit of a spend up yesterday, got some new landline phones, Panasonic ones, had Panasonic before, but he BT ones we got afterwards are carp, and the batteries last no time, and even replacing them has not fixed it, I have had them a while but would not get BT ones to replace them. Will put them on Freecycle and wait to be beseiged! Then went to the Range I got my lounge curtains from there, and wanted cushion covers, none there, so bought the smallest size of curtains and will make them out of that, and may even have enough to make new seat covers for the dining table. Also saw a laptop lap cushion with light, and as mine gets rather hot I got one, then went to Aldi to stock up with veg, etc. tried the lap cushion out last night, my lappy is a bit bit big, and covers the drink hole, but then again me and liquid and a lappy - no, then, dinner and strictly took over.

Still cooking from scratch most of the time, (things like Scampi are easier bought ready to cook), just filled the SC, packet of lean mince, red lentils, oats, tin chopped tomatoes, pint of stock, then got 4 carrots, 2 parsnips some wilted celery, old mushrooms, and a wilted pepper, and chopped them up fine in the FP and added that, together with some herbs and seasoning, so it has almost filled the oval SC I have. Will keep my eye on it to see if it needs more stock. Will make some cottage pies, and then maybe a mince cobbler tomorow. DH likes them. Tomorrow we are fetching the DGNeice, she is coming down to bake, she used to do this with her Mum's Mum, who died about 18 months ago, and has benn wanting to bake again so DG to the rescue. Hope Grandma used to use the "it'll do" method of baking :rotfl:

Also used the BM for dough for the first time, I made the spicy fruit loaf, but DH loves grab and run food, so this time made a similar mix into tea cakes. The first batch went down well, so next time did a double batch of dough, and froze them in 4's. Almost out so will make scones tomorrow with the GDN as they fill the same hole!

Got the knitting needles out too, made the cable curvy scarf, and now finishing a toddlers cardy. Will only do complex patterns as plain knitting doesn't do it for me. Knitting while watching TV as DH moans I spend too much time on the PC th_footstompingsmilie.gif He is very quick to bring a magazine, and say "just look at this web page for me". :rotfl:

Tonight some friends are coming down and we are going to try out the local pub which has been done up and have a meal.

Camelot ((hugs)) to you, you will miss your DD, but hopefully she will stay in close touch over the web and keep you up to date of her adventures. Our DS has not really lived "at home" since he went off to Uni, though we do correspond/talk one way or another most days, he is now in London working, he is enjoying his job and his GF is also from down there, so do not imagine him moving north again.

:grouphug: to all others needing one, or would just like one.

:bdaycake: to all who I have missed their celebrations. Will try to get back soon.

    Take care - DG

OH also took me to Waitrose to get some tartare sauce as I only like theirs and some chipotle chilli paste. Dont trust myself to do full shop there as would spend too much.

Right off to check my gingercake and OH making me cup of tea
Hugs to all in need and congrats to Hester and the minder:T

Hi all, another moany post from me!
Just got back from work and we're having a party at our flat tonight but I don't fancy it. A couple I'm good friends with just pulled out (one's ill) and now I feel don't feel like it at all! My room is the furthest away from the lounge so I can hopefully hide out there in peace until I'm the mood for it...

  • Hi Guys!

    HH-Congrats:T:beer:

WM has been on and is now in TD as drizzling off and on. DW has been on and emptied. Toilet/Bathrooms cleaned and upstairs hoovered.

The Indian Thali was gorgeous last night.

Gammon joint has been in the SC all day with apple juice and honey, so we have that with roasties, yorkies (frozen:eek:), carrots and sprouts for dinner in a little while. OH has done a HM Bread pudding:)

Just watching The Grinch with DD.

    Hope everyone is well.

    Afternoon all
Sorry I'm so late on here today, as it was sunny & dry hubby & I have been in the garden all day sorting it out ready for winter.
For those who don't read my blog, we are getting married next year, we will be scuttling of to the registry office sometime between now & 18th of June with just a couple of witnesses & on the 18th itself we are holding a handfasting ceremony in our garden for friends & family, this will be the day we consider our wedding day. It will be frugal ceremony, no rings, just silken cords, DS1 is taking the photo's, BIL1 is doing a BBQ & DSIL is doing the music, though he doesn't know it yet.
    Have a good day everyone.
    Hugs Hester
