I also suffered from recurrent trush and had all possible over the counter pills and pessaries. It always used to come back the next day.
A week ago I found in Holland&Barrets the homeopatic tablets called CANDIDA (produced by Nelsons). And I could not believe the results. I felt that discarge stopped after 3 hours after I took the first pill. It is amazing, one week after I still don't have it. I don't know how long the effect will last, but as it is homeopatic remedie I think it is quite safe to have it in stock and take from time to time.
It says that it stimulates natural resistance to flora imbalance.

So the moral of the story is don't assume its thrush, i know the op said she had been to the GP. but i am just saying
