Recurrent thrush....... sorry if too much info :)

Are you sure it's actually thrush (a fungal infection) and not just a recurrent irritation? I found going knickerless as much as possible, switching to stockings, bathing in epsom salts and wearing a pant liner all the time helped me.
It's so common you'd think the doctors would have more of a clue by now!

Definitely make sure your partner gets treated too.
Cotton undies, no g-strings. I would suggest not using softener on your undies too, just use a tablespoon of vinegar in the softener drawer instead.
Cut down on sugars in your diet. Cut out completely if possible.
Don't eat fermented foods (no mushrooms, beer, cider, white wine (a glass of red seemed ok for me)).
Dead sea salts in a bath seem to help - definitely no bubble bath!
"Wash" with just water. Make sure you dry thoroughly - walk around without anything on for a while if possible.
I found that one oral capsule wasn't enough, but two taken a few days apart seemed to be more efficient.
Thankfully I seem to be getting it less often now, but I had it every month for a long time.0 -
I am presuming your GP has done a blood test and swabs??
The ideas above are worth a try but have no scientific proof of helping but might be a temporary relief from the symptoms. I think you need to discuss it properly with your GP and request a referral on to specialist if necessary.0 -
I had constant thrush when I was on my previous contraceptive pill. My doctor changed me to a different one and I haven't had thrush since (4 years now).0

I would echo what others have said, such as making sure you treat your partner at the same time as treating yourself otherwise he will just give it you back. Men carry it but don't suffer.
The yoghurt works too, but it has to be live yoghurt. Most supermarkets and health foods shop sell live, natural yoghurts. Its very soothing and does the trick too.
Apart from this you would need to look at anything you are eating, as people have said before, plus any medication or the contraceptive pill you may be taking.
If nothing works then you must go back to your doctor and perhaps ask to be referred to someone who knows what they're dealing with.0 -

Cotton undies, no tights, no tight jeans, consider changing your Pill or coming off it altogether if you're on it, the live yoghurt is very soothing (if a bit messy). However, candida is a yeast which lives on sugar and it can colonise your whole body and your doctor should really be working with you to get rid of it. because you can't go on like this. Go back to your doc and if he won't help, ask for a referral.

i get thrush quite a bit, and it gets worse if i have baths with scented bubble bath. I went to a STI clinic about something else, and the only thing they found wa thrush, and gave me a tube of 'aqueous cream' to wash with down there! i use it all the time now and haven't had thrush for ages.
They sell it in massive tubs in boots or superdrug for a few quid and it lasts ages! its normally with e45 type creams, or some pharmacies keep them behind the counter so you might have to ask (i used to work in a pharmacy)
I also but 'sensitive' skin shower gels incase they somehow get downthere too, and i avoid baths with anything scented in now!0
