  • I have 14 items out of stock this campaign, one customer has ordered the Snood, Lazy slippers and a ring and none of them will be delivered, she is still waiting for the Erica Scarf, another customer who is also waiting for the Erica Scarf has ordered the Ella camera and 2 Christmas stockings and they are also out of stock, I think I am going to loose two customers. Phoned Avon and they were about as useful as a chocolate tea cup, not looking forward to delivering tomorrow night. Sorry to moan but not in a good mood.

Long shot but why not email your upliner and see if she (or anyone else in your team locally) has any of the o-o-s goodies in stock?

Hey all! I am planning my next campaign and am going to do an 'introduce a friend' offer of a free gift. Quick question, do you say what the free gift will be??

I never say what the gift will be; the higher the new customer's order value is, the better the free gift. ;)

I have placed an additional order for some items they missed off my order on 30th November and Avon said it would take 5-6 working days. It's still not arrived!! Also, will it be the normal Avon driver that delivers it? As it says 2 units to be delivered, it's a rather large order.

I need to pay the invoice as I have more orders to submit next week, but I am not going to pay this extra amount until I have received it. If it doesn't turn up before my next campaign will they allow me to place another order with an outstanding amount?

This time of year especially I wouldn't count on it being your 'normal' driver but hopefully that's not a big problem.

You should never have to pay for anything before you've received it but Avon will hold your next campaign order if you still have a balance of £20/25 outstanding from your previous campaign. You can always check whether Avon are holding your next delivery via the 'Track My Orders' part of your website.

MarsdenCuckoo - I've also had that - people assuming you do all the catalogues around. I've had other catalogues left out with my Avon one in the same pile, and someone once put a Tesco Direct catalogue inside my freezer bag - the Avon brochure wasn't inside. Strange...

OOS issues weren't too bad for C1. Got my delivery today. Two things I'd warned people about anyway. Fortunately no-one has a whole order that's OOS. The relief of being on mailplan A.
I used to have my Avon turnover (sales) here. They've been removed because it's not appropriate to talk about those kinds of sales as if they're realistic for a new Rep to aim for. :( I signed up at the right time, right place, and was very lucky.

it was me! I assumed she was ordering from C18 online, and she had seen C1 at her friend's house.

So she sent me codes of items she wanted, I put them in as C18, and they all came up as HT! So have now changed to C1, and will let her know if stock availability looks good, then she will pay me in advance.

I owe her a free gift!

    Hi!

Not sure if this is relevant but sometimes irrespective of inputting the customer brochure order no. it defaults to Demo products. Nooo ideas why other than, maybe, Avon has decided to make sure reps get as good a deal as poss.

Just mentioning in case she's expecting to pay full customer price after all.

    MCx

PS: Sorry to hear you've not been well; hope you'll soon be 110% again.

Hi everyone, not been on here in a while. Spent last month canvassing for new customers. Three outings later, 4 streets and 40 houses and absolutely no orders for Christmas. So disappointing. I even put fancy little newsletters in there and everything. My C1 christmas order is a measely £50...going out tomorrow for one last push then probably jack it in in February. I will miss the products so I'll find a rep on connects methinks. It's just not paying at all for me.

    Hi!

Whenever my reps get despondent and talk about jacking it in, I encourage them to revert to being a 'personal rep' for a while i.e. just order for yourself out of HT. That way, there's no minimum order level because goods are already priced at 0% commission, you get to see what new products are coming up and, of course, you get access to Clearance for your own personal use. You can miss a couple of campaigns anyway (good idea to let your upliner know) - why not drop your customers a note saying you're taking a holiday/short break soon and ask if they'd like a book when you return in ...... 2011? Worth a shot.

    Good luck, whatever you decide.

Further to the above... would I have the option of ordering every OTHER brochure? It's just that my customers would be more likely to get excited about seeing a brochure if they only had it every 6-8 weeks. At the moment it's like...oh, another brochure. It would also be much easier to manage when I go back to full time work. Any thoughts?

Yes, no probs at all. Why not ask your customers if they'd prefer to see every book or have a book every couple of months even? Chances are if you 'starve' them of a book or two they'll then appreciate you letting them look and will order more often. I had one in the Summer, who told me she only wanted a book every couple of months. I went away, dropped her a note in saying that I'd arranged for another rep to look after her (that rep gave up whilst I was away so the customer got no books at all) and so far she's ordered every single campaign since I came back.

Absence really does make the heart grow fonder!

Just be aware that some Area Managers are removing territory if you don't place an order though.... If you want to keep your territory, make sure you order something for yourself out of HT or even some order forms/calling book. You'll be sent a book and charged 55p for it but you can send it back for a refund (and, of course, it makes sure you're send the HT too).
