could be something like what happened with my customer, someone on the road using one of my books, decides to become a rep and is approaching people she knows on the road!
Ask your customer about this rep, maybe turn out to be family/friend has started doing avon and she is buying from them now.0 -

I would like to share this with everyone (especially those who are new, like me). I went to place an order and saw that a watch someone ordered (the Presley watch from c16) was showing a big red X when I went to order. "Out of stock, no further stock expected". I deleted it from my order because I thought, what's the point? I resigned myself to telling the customer i could not get the watch for them, but thankfully did not actually do it yet.
About 3 days later, another customer was desperate to order the Herve Leger set and did not want to wait another 3 weeks for next order day, so I went ahead and paid the 2.50 p&p to place a special order for her. While I was there i thought, hey why not, i will try entering the watch again. Well, to my utter shock, it showed up with a green 'in stock' checkmark. I was equal parts relieved and PO'd!! It was sheer luck that i had decided to place another order at all. And I could have lost that customer forever if they had been disappointed on their first try with Avon.
So now at least (I hope!) I will get the watch in the end. So if you get that red X, order the item anyway. You never know.0 -
how are you finding it so far??
x
Okay really, had a couple of 'No thanks' off people, but on the whole everyone's been really nice. One of the best bits is talking to people I never normally talk to even though we only live across the road!! I just need to learn a bit more self-discipline, when it comes to ordering things for myself - I seem to be spending more than I'm earning at the minute!!0 -

Very true! I had a red x on something (just something for me, and didnt bother deleting it and it turned up anyway0 -
Good Evening, I have just submitted my 2nd campaign with Avon and wanted to introduce myself
I am lucky enough not to have encountered territory issues as there really doesn't seem to be a rep for at least 4 miles in any direction from me :T Always helpful!
I am quietly gathering some stock for the Xmas fayre at the primary school, and 2 local pubs are up for a party before Xmas as well. My tip to contribute to the board would be to look out for gatherings eg ladies darts teams, WI, etc and go along and socialise. They are bound to ask you what you do and hey presto! you have an 'in'. It also has the advantage of a regular meeting and catching them all together.
Hope this is useful to someone :DHappy Campaigning and a huge thank you for all the advice I have gained from back reading on this forum.... It's taken a while! lolStill looking for the plot...... Anyone seen it???0 -
We've always said not to delete anything with a red cross or a yellow spot, as you never know if Avon will get more stock in, or someone does a return.0

evening all, not have a great evening
so decided to keep myself busy by packing up all my orders, starting to wish I had ordered the plastic carrier bags for the heavier bulker stuff especially from the wrap ur own gift set! nearly had a melt down as thought they didnt send me a bag for the lipgloss set OH's cousin ordered but found it in the box!!!
ordered a few cheap gifts as a thankyou for those who ordered over a certain amount and for saying sorry for waiting nearly 6 weeks for their order to come due to a mess up, so will be a suprise for them!0 -

bag? thought it was a box? Unless I am thinking of wrong set? My customer ordered 2 of these and I gave her the box sets without any bags.....0 -
or someone does a return.
Yeah, like the Arnie the Adventurer virtual pet they sent me. Ordered 2 and received 2. One box had a little A written on it in biro. So I opened and checked. It was a return, missing the internal packaging and with the battery tag pulled so the game had started.
Not impressed - dont they check these things :mad:Please do not quote spam as this enables it to 'live on' once the spam post is removed.
