Well after weeks of preparation my friend text me today to cancel Saturday's Avon party :mad: So I'm left with loads of stock!!

So I'm now having a Facebook Avon Party :D Wish me luck!! 5 sales so far!! xx

how rotten! Good luck with your FB party, and anything that doesn't sell, any chance the customers were unhappy with it? ;)

Anything that doesn't sell, I'll just return as surplus stock but just don't want to have to return too much!! My friend specifically asked me to sell stock on the night so I ordered several gifts & toiletries so I've been left with quite a bit of stock to shift or return. 6 sales so far on fb tho!! xx

Has anyone any experience of this software made specifically for Avon reps?:

I saw the link on the avonfriendsforum and they are loving it on there, but was just wondering if anyone here had ever looked at it? I have downloaded the demo and been looking at it today. It does look good but I don't think it is going to save me any time on what I currently do on an Excel Spreadsheet.

hmm, a database, where you input the data. that is good but not sure if I would pay $19,99 for it!

Apparently you get 3 licences for that so it works out £4.20 per licence. I have ordered it (I love fiddling with things like this anyway). Will have a play and if I think it is any good I will let you all know and would be happy to sell the other 2 licences if anyone was interested. Don't want this to sound like I am trying to make money :o Just thought it may be of interest as I know a lot of people ask on here about spreadsheets and stuff. :D
    Everyone loves a bargain
  • Just been inputting my order for submission tomorrow and there are LOADS of yellow spots :( 1 big red cross by the mousse foundation from the clearance brochure that my customer was dying to get her hands on to stock up as she was gutted it's now discontinued :(

The dark nights seem to have had an effect on whether people answer the door or not. Had 13 deliveries to do yesterday evening and 4 "weren't in". There was 1 other that I think genuinely wasn't in. However, everyone got a delivery note about a week ago with my contact details on saying it would be yesterday evening. I was out between 5:45 and 6:45, which is a bit earlier than I'd done deliveries before the clocks went back.

I'm wondering whether people thought it was children doing penny for the Guy? I have small hands the size of a ten-year-old's, but I'm working on my louder knocking.

Someone didn't hear me last night and gave me a ring. I asked for a day and time that was convenient for them, but she couldn't say so my only suggestion was to try every evening until I catch her in. But evenings aren't good for her and neither are days... I'm not psychic, but I forsee several trips back and forth...

I'd knocked on another house and set the dogs off, and they didn't stop barking for a few minutes while I stood there waiting - basically saying to the owner "there's someone there". No-one answered the door, so in the end I had to shout through the door that it was their Avon delivery (I could tell someone was on the other side of it).
I used to have my Avon turnover (sales) here. They've been removed because it's not appropriate to talk about those kinds of sales as if they're realistic for a new Rep to aim for. :( I signed up at the right time, right place, and was very lucky.
  • Can anyone tell me if the bumper boxes in HT are any good? The ones that are £50...
Im going to be doing some parties and stalls over the next few months so was thinking it might be good to have some stock but have no idea what to expect?
  • Hi Everyone,

Not been on here for ages, so managed to catch up finally!

CONGRATS ON THE NEW AVON BABY J_PINK - WOO HOO!

With regards to the bumper box chasing sunshine, I bought one a few months ago and wished I hadn't. I bought it as I was doing a stall and a car boot, and there was some good stuff and some current products in there, but also some rubbish that I still to this day haven't managed to get rid of, several car boot sales later. (things like toiletry bags). Don't think I managed to break even even on it, and the thing is you can't send bits back, it has to be the whole lot.

    Hope that helps! x
