Of course it's dishonest if the stuation was reversed and Tesco's started exploiting MSE members you'd never hear the last of it on here! I could get banned for calling you a "silly cow" but its fine to applaud a post that defrauds Tesco. It's morally wrong if nothing else it's no wonder this country is going down the plughole.

18 posts since you have joined and every post is just moaning and groaning.
Never thanks OP for the post or a post about a bargain, no just moan and groan. exactly why are you a member of this site ?
They did try to exploit MSE members thats why they got deal of the day, and if Tesco's are as worried as you seem to be, why would they give discount codes to post on his website ?
They know people will see a glitch and will buy other things while they are there.
ML goes on TV, mentions their name and they get £100,000 free advertising.
By the way its people like you who constantly moan and groan that send this country down the plug hole, maybe next time you post about flying the england flag you will remember the British Stiff Upper Lip, Land of Hope and Glory etc etc.

but they do exploit mse users, i've get overcharge virtually every month by tesco. how many thousands are being mislead by tescos price signs and labels? does that not matter? stating one price and then charging the customer a lot more? ok op knew she was going to be overcharged when she bought the tv, but you could say she was taking advantage of a 'loop hole' martin lewis bangs on about-before actually checking with tesco to see if his members would actually get into trouble for doing!(ie massing loads of points on small priced items, and searching for 1p items and getting banned!)

i know there will be a good answer for this but why would you want overcharged? do they refund you double what you were overcharged or something?

I didnt get double the difference when i was overcharged. I was overcharged for the meal deal that didnt scan thro properly, only worked out to be £3odds

So... Your other half pointed out the mistake honestly to the cashier and to "correct" this, you purchased another set knowing full well it would be overcharged, kept quiet about the fact you knew and pocketed money for a television you're going to return?
I know they're just a company but that is so dishonest. I can't believe you (and others) are patting you on the back for this.
Great grabbit (well, less of a grabbit than a grab, lie and return). Congratulations.

I think you're in the wrong place then. This is the grabbit board, for things like this, where a little money or some freebies can be made from mistakes/offers on in shops and supermarkets. Tesco offer dtd if you are overcharged...it is their mistake. til they correct it, why shouldn't people make some money from it if they can?
    Won't buy nuffink without a discount :p

I guess I am moral-less when it comes to tesco then :p
Thats what they get for hiking their prices up ten fold!! my fairy washing tablets used to be £3.98 about three years ago..now they're £7..tesco owe me a little something. haha.

    Good spot OP.

  • Tesco makes huge profits - out of us. Tesco slips up prices hoping customers won't notice - who would that be? Us. Tesco presents itself as being on our side, offers deals and trumpets bargain prices to get us into stores - then some of those good prices don't feed through - it's our duty (imho) to get DTD cos the only way they'll ever improve on this is if their 'mistakes' cost them money. It's also only sensible for us to enjoy glitches - some of them are definitely created, or allowed to continue, because stores get more publicity and custom as a result - but in the end publicising glitches and MSE'ers piling into stores to get them will keep stores on their toes and improve lazy business practices - for the benefit of all customers ... even Noggin the Nog!
